ITTF - Idle, corrupt, destructive / feel the salt

These are the 3 adjectives when I'm thinking about ITTF.
I want to explain why this is coming out of me now and the anger about this federation got the best of me again.
Just opened our sweet ttd-forum as always and what im seeing again is that some individuals are trading DHS NATIONAL BLUE SPONGE HURRICANE again for sweet 70 pounds if I remember right. For 70 pounds a small family can be fed for a week. Don't get me wrong this is not indictment against the trader, it's against the system. What the hell, this is so out of every regulation. A ****ing rubber what is good for around 4 weeks. Would it not be the job of the ITTF to keep things a bit down-to-earth? This price is just possible because DHS and i dont know what other suppliers are making their equipment just avaible to a certain group of people. What is simply unsporting, unfair and needs to be forbidden. When Zhang Jike is kicking a f*cking plastic-fence after he won the World Cup it is a big upset and scandal for what he has to lose the price money. BUT WHAT ON EARTH?? THAT HE GOT THERE BY UNFAIR METHODS OF BOOSTING AND SECRET SPECIAL RUBBERS DOESNT MATTER???? And to all the people telling that there is no way to control these things i just can say that your imagination is very poor. For example: By joining international tournament you are also signing in your equipment specs. Before the tournament you're giving your blade to ITTF officials. By entering the trainings hall you are handed your blade with SEALED rubbers. By leaving you are handing it back and so on. Yes of course there are more expenditures, it's just about how much you want the sport to be fair and not dominated by the material. You may say ohh but out of international tournaments it's not doing anything. I just can tell you it would be a first step and if ITTF would really want it to be a fair sport they would find a solution. But nooo they are more interested in introducing new shit rules and balls that nobody wants. It could be so easy. Guess what DHS you're producing a rubber not equaly avaible for everybody?? you're not getting our approvel for that rubber, so it cannot be used in offical events. EASY. But nooo the money in their privat pockets is much more delicious than doing actually something for the sport. Disgusting, all the officals with their hands in just should get waterboared with haifu oil what is pressed out of a blue sponge hurricane 3

Hate stinks

Hate stinks

Wow, so much hate and jealousy in one single speech! I actually didn't want to waste my time with so much hate, but before things drift the wrong way (following the latest elections one could see what hate can do) i feel the need to balance things out a little!

See, i could slightly agree, if DHS was the only company to do these kinda things, but obviously they're not!
Hence to me this whole rant sounds kinda hypocritical and one-sided.

Knowing that there are players working in R&D department of ESN and that they simply can produce ANY rubber in small batches with ANY printing on it sheds a whole different light onto TT_Rogue's rant.

See these players at ESN get the best rubbers they want and no regular Hobby player or Simple NOBODY is able to order these SPECIAL kind of rubbers anywhere, or has anyone seen a Pro Version of Bluefire or a special version of Rasant in regular shops??

Almost as if they wouldn't exist. But in fact they do!

So at least DHS give people the chance to receive PRO-EQUIPMENT whereas ESN pretends as if their special versions don't exist.

Now let me ask you: what's up with that? I think the answer is pretty simple. And ESN isn't the only one doing that. There are rumours that the japanese National Team is receiving special tenergy versions than their commercial public version.
And i believe this could be true, after having heard that tenergies ordered in Japan smell different and feel better than the ones on the european market.

So once again: at least DHS give me the opportunity to use PRO-EQUIPMENT! At the last Wtttc in KL at least DHS had like a little Shop selling their equipment, also their provincial and national rubber versions.

Don't get me wrong though, i don't enjoy spending so much money on TT-Equipment, but no one forces me to, i chose to spend as much as i want (or actually my wallet does)

The thing is:
don't hate the player - hate the game!

ITTF could regulate this, if they wanted to!

Therefore (once again): hate stinks!

I'm personally more cocerned with ITTFs other failings and there are a lot of them. If rubber passes tecnical rules rules the fact that a Chinese or German pro can have it and I can't isn't a problem. Seeing a good video feed. Having places to play. Those things matter more. But the larger issue is that ITTF desperately needs new leadership throughout.

Guess this guy thinks Butterfly's "pro" rubbers are what is sold to the general public lol
And coming from an equipment background, I can 100% tell you that what the pro has, and what I have in stock does different
So keep calm, this is reality, or go to another sport, wait all sports the same
okay, keep calm and just play table tennis and stop ranting

I just play for fun and use mostly cheap Gambler and Friendship rubbers. If I tried to use this secret rubber it would probably ruin my game. For conscientious objectors, they should consider boycotting DHS if it means that much. And ITTF's video quality really doesn't bother me terribly. Table tennis is such an under-appreciated sport that I'm happy to get any kind of video feed at all.

Then one would need to boycott 90% of the brands
And then for life outside table tennis, will they boycott everything else that is against conscience?

Unavailability of the "national" rubbers to the broad public is the least problem the sport has IMO. Bringing in money, reaching out to the people and TV is a way bigger problem. What is the use of those rubbers if TT turns into a super narrow niche entertainment.

TT is already a super narrow niche entertainment
The big one is garage pong, TT is really small

In SA, Cricket is huge
The top players have custom made cricket bats too
Custom is turns of specific weights etc

I won't be surprised if Golf, Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Baseball (racket/bat type of sports) has custom made for the individual pros and that are not commercially available for the general public

you raise a good point, this is 0.00001% of the problem

Exactly! DHS was here just an example.
"ITTF could regulate this, if they wanted to!"
It's what i said it is not about the single supplier or a single player it is about the ITTF.
"Bringing in money, reaching out to the people and TV is a way bigger problem. What is the use of those rubbers if TT turns into a super narrow niche entertainment."
You are seeing here something really wrong. Table tennis IS and will ALWAYS be a narrow niche sport. That is it's character. The stupid attempts of ITTF trying to change this fact is what is destroying the sport. The only thing what they accomplished with that, ss that the people what are interested in table tennis and that are just players themselfes are stopping to play.

one needs to be really ignorant to think sports savoir is the international body
sports is a business and needs to be treated as such
it is not a charity organization and is reliant on income stream to cover expenses.
This is for the athletes, the clubs, the investors/sponsors. Without them, sport is micky mouse.

An easy one is to take the top 5 sports in the world - soccer/football, basketball, baseball, golf, and you guys can determine the next one.

So are you telling me, the success and failure is because of FIFA, FIBA, IBF, IGF???
If you think ITTF is the success and failure on table tennis world side, then buddy, another 1000 years, you aint going anywhere.

any way, talk is cheap. put your mouth into action and develop your local environment like I decided to do (its better than sitting back and moaning non stop).
Start TT in 10 schools if you can
Coach 100 junior players for free
Donate equipment to the ones that can't afford it

These are just a few small thing any forum member can do to contribute to the sport

Yes im telling you table tennis is not made for this. And im telling you there are many other sports that are not made to be a buisness to get rich and famous. You're doing it because you love it or you go away. The people who think that table tennis should be mainly a buisness go and please **** off because you are destroying the sport. And buddy all what you are writing there like start table tennis at schools (oh i was even already in pre-kindergardens to get half-toddlers started) coach juniors for free (Im doing that already since 10 years - my bad) and donate equipment (I gathered hundreds of old hobby-blades and equiped them with help of friends, donic and tibhar with not tot used rubbers and donated them). You "buddy" should fast come down off your high horse before you fall too hard when you dont know to who you are talking.

Our HERO in table tennis
everyone, come and worship this guy

So lets hope our HERO becomes the next ITTF president so he can teach us how his big mouth will change the world for us
Or maybe he should start a Rogue TTF and show us where all his talk is
i'm waiting

so MR Hero, what is your real name? care to share? So I can know who I am talking too lololol
or would you only hide behind a fake name and claim everything
I like how you think ITTF can fix everything for you, you are really a sad a miserable person....

Something just doesn't fit here!

If you have achieved and done what you wrote, you have to be much older than eighteen.
But being this much older makes you really look totally naive, spreading all this hate and jealousy which won't bring you anywhere far in Life.
Someone your age should already have learned this.

And if you say this sport isn't made for business, then just look at China and Japan, or anywhere else where tabletennis is much bigger than in Germany.

I think you've addressed your little hate-speech totally wrong.

Maybe you should better start thinking a little more "out-of-the-box". This narrow-minded thinking helps no one. If you haven't hit the loo today, maybe you really should, 'cause you sound totally stuck up, mate...

See even Darts has become a business and get's way more TV Broadcast than Tabletennis.

Ofc it doesn't have to stay this way, but it probably would, if Negative-thinkers like you would be in charge of things.

Couldn't have said it better!
