Sekai Takkyu Ambassador Mizutani interviews the golden generation after JPN 3-0 IRI. And they had to cut out the part where Ito teases Mizutani.

If Ayhika wins, she is the best player in the world and will be favorite to win the Olympics.
I'm so sick of these players coming out of nowhere with some random rubber setup that nobody has practiced against. It's just not fair. Everybody should have the same type of rubber in the same event. You aren't allowed to swim freestyle in a breastroke race. And you can't use rubber on one side of your pickleball racket. Everybody has to use the same equipment that follows the same rules of physics.
I get your point, but if we look back at wtt contender goa, all the indian players that we have never seen before were using pimples or anti, which is kinda their style. Keep in mind, this is their first encounter. Since ayhika won, she is not well known, and their will be many more powerful players to stand in her way. Beating sys is not a one off ticket to olympic gold. It will earn her a short underdog reputation and thats it. As for the overall pimples in the game, I think it's nice to have some versatility, but thats just me. In the proffesional's world, having versatility proves that you can win under any circumstances, against anyone, so that is probably why pimple rubbers are still here.

Hayata: And here is how a muscle head handled it.

Bit of an unfair comparison as both are lefties. Way easier to overcome the pips/anti when it's facing the inverted FH diagonally in a lefty-righty catchup. You don't have to deal with the stupid BH - BH pressure where the only way to get out of it is to play the very risky and difficult BH down the line loop.

Not much to do with handedness once you figure out the problem. I've played a few times against a Div 1 (top 60, 46th as of 1/2024) female player playing penhold longpips with RPB. The best I've done by brute force is 2-3. I could overpower her but since I don't train enough I couldn't sustain it the entire match. The right way to play is to avoid shots with medium spin at medium pace. Playing styles that disrupt your shot timing requires the right proportion of no spin and extreme spin, combined with speed plus placement, which requires precise control and patience of the player.

KOR 1-0 PUR
JJH 3-0 Brianna Burgos
SYB 0-3 A. Diaz
How many game points did SYB drop in G2? Asian Games 2022 WS bronze medalist...by racking up big but relatively easy points in multiple CTs. LOL

What's up with ENG?

GER 2-2 KAZ
M2 Ovtcharov 1-3 Gerassimenko
M4 QD 2-3 Gerassimenko

In the comment section, folks actually suspect there is more to it than meets the eye. It almost sounds like someone is trying to prevent him from playing.

At the very least, he has an excuse for playing like crap.
