Liu Shiwen defeated Guo Yan by 4 games to 2 with scores: 8-11, 11-2, 7-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-6

Liu Shiwen and Guo Yan produced a fine show for the viewers and spectators around the World. Both players stayed close to the table using their backhands and forehands topspins aggressively to win the point. Very rarely will you see one of these spectacular players defend away from the table!

The match was close in the first four sets having each set going either way to the Chinese stars. On this occasion Liu Shiwen was able to gain momentum after the fourth set to take the match to her hands. Liu's power allowed her to make exceptional winners time and time again similar to that performance at the Pro Tour Grand Finals last year. Liu's tempo was the key in the match!
