The awaited final of the Men's singles final took place on the 28th Agusut 2011 with two of the best players in the world competing it out for the Harmony China Open title! Ma Long defeated Zhang Jike in the epic final amongst a packed arena full of Chinese fans! VIDEO of the final to come soon, read below for each set analysis.

In the opening set it was a tough, tight battle between the two young players from China. The scores levelled at 8-8. Ma Long made great use of the loose balls from Zhang Jike and Long won the set 11-8.
Zhang Jike returned to the table with a different outlook after loosing the first set. He took a quick lead to 5-1. Ma Long kept his fight and managed to level the game towards the end to 9-9. Zhang Jike kepts his cool and won the next two points to level the match score at 1-1.
In the third set of the final, Ma Long and Zhang Jike battled it out levelling from point to point. Ma Long won the vital points towards the end to take a 2-1 lead winning the set 12-10.
What a close encounter this match was!!
In the fourth set Zhang Jike started off bad. Ma Long made good use of this and worked his way to a 10-5 lead. However, the heart of Zhang Jike didn't quit and he pulled the game right back to 10-10 to eventually gain match point. Zhang Jike won his match point to level the scores to 2-2. Ma Longs body language showed a huge negative disapproval from the last 7 points he just played.
Ma Long maintained focus in the fifth set and took a 6-4 lead. Again Ma Long went 10-6 up but this time round he won the set 11-7 to secure a 3-2 lead in the Harmony China Open 2011.
The sixth set was all to play for both players! Ma Long took a 8-3 lead playing tremendous table tennis. Ma Longs tactics seemed to be going great making great use of his forehand. Zhang Jike won 2 points however Ma Long won the set 11-5 to secure victory. Ma Long is now the new Harmony Men Single's China Open 2011 Champion!
