World number 1 Ma Long wins the Men’s Singles Final at the Hungarian Open World Tour 2012 as he defeated in form Joo Se Hyuk from Korea!

Ma Long defeats Joo Se Hyuk by 4 games to 3 with scores: 7-11,11-4,4-11,11-4,7-11,11-7,11-8
The first set went to Joo Se Hyuk, Joo’s mixture of defence and attacking skills put Ma Long out of rhythm on his game. This led Korea’s Joo to win the first set 11-7.
In the second set Ma Long came back as expected with spectacular forehand topspins! Ma Long won the set 11-4.
In the third set the pendulum shifted again. Joo Se Hyuk won the set 11-4. Joo’s mixture of spin caused Ma Long to produce huge amounts of unforced errors with his forehand.
In the fourth set Ma Long seemed to have adapted better to Joo Se Hyuk’s heavy backspin chops. Ma varied his game with some good pushing to bring Joo back in and out of the table. Once again the momentum changed with Ma winning the set 11-4.
It seems when Joo mixes up the backspin very well with heavy spins and float with great attacking skills, Joo is in favour of the game. However, when Ma Long is in a rhythm and takes his time with each shot then he is in the driving seat.
In the fifth set of the Hungarian Open World Tour Men’s Singles Final Joo started off with the momentum and flew into a 6-0 lead. Joo now in the driving seat mixed up the play with fast flicks, heavy and float backspins causing Ma Long to produce many unforced errors. Ma Long struggling to read the play lost the set 11-7.
Joo Se Hyuk now leads the match by 3 sets to 2. Joo Se Hyuk now only requiring one more set to win this epic encounter! The opening rally was sensational. Joo hooked the ball with huge amounts of side spin to cause the World number 1 to completely miss the ball! However, Ma Long regrouped and raced into a 7-1 lead in the sixth set. Joo managed to hang in for the next 5 points and pulled the match back to 7-6. Ma Long took a time out which worked in his favour, four tremendous forehand winners by the World number 1 put the match into the seventh set!
According to the pattern of the match, on paper Joo Se Hyuk should win this match.

Ma Long managed to maintain his momentum leading into the seventh set with a 5-3 advantage. Joo still managed to be determined as ever! Both players giving their absolute all for the title. Ma Long now with a 3 point advantage at 7-4 produced the backhand of the match away from the table to give himself a 8-4 lead. Joo Se Hyuk’s amazing serves put him back into the match at 8-6. Again, an incredible rally with the crowd on the edge of their seats with Joo floating the ball caused Ma Long to topspin out of the table. The next rally now had to be rally of the match with Joo Se Hyuk hitting a beautiful forehand topspin down the line!
This final could only go either way! At 8-8 in the final set Joo Se Hyuk missed an easy forehand. "Joo misses a sitter the commentator screams".
Ma Long now had 2 Pro Tour Championship points! Ma Long serves fast with Joo making an unforced error with his backhand! Ma Long wins the Hungarian Open World Tour 2012!
