Why do they only ask the womens to wear sleeveless shirts?
why not also ask the mens to do it?

Maybe someone in marketing wanted spectators to easily see a difference between the men and women.

Maybe some of the women asked for it.

No sleeves mean that MLTT has not been able to find a logo sponsor for sleeves, because of they did, both men and women would have sleeves with a sponsor logo.

Why do the men wear v neck shirts and the women wear a crew neck?

Maybe nobody in MLTT put much thought into this topic.

I ask some women players and they hate it.
they have no idea why women needs to wear sleeveless.

I think mens should wear too and while at it, show off some muscles (if they have)
or allow both options and the muscular ones can show it off.

I wonder if sleeveless shirts is something Butterfly has in the works for mass production, or if it’s something they’re trying out, or a customization just for MLTT.

A few women in MLTT have worn shirts with sleeves. I don’t if that was by their choice or just what was available. I can think of Wensheng Wei of Princeton, who played in just 1 or 2 weekends in Season 2. Amy Wang wore sleeves last weekend, but the shirts didn't have her name & number on the back.

Daniel Gonzalez of Puerto Rico (who played in MLTT in Season 1) rolls up his sleeves to look like they’re sleeveless.
Romain Ruiz does similarly with just his racket arm. There should be shirts with one sleeve made for him but for mass production, a lefty version would be needed too.

I believe sleeveless is more commonly worn by men in badminton. Maybe it’s more comfortable for overhead strokes.
In tennis, I mainly think of Rafael Nadal early in his career. Alcaraz, Shelton, and Tiafoe have been doing that more recently.

I went to see the Blazers play at home for the first time last night and despite a good start by Kayama Yu and an outstanding doubles performance, the other singles matches were pretty shaky and they also got manhandled in the Golden Game for a pretty decisive loss 😔. Better luck tonight.

The crowd was sparse but hopefully that's just because it was a Friday after work. Regardless, it was a lot of fun! And tickets were dirt cheap ($15 for general admission). I'd definitely go more frequently if they played locally more frequently...

watching live is indeed fun.
I always wondered if MLTT approach using centralized venue is the correct path.
There is no more home or away matches, and there is no bound to name of the city of the said teams.

but it is probably resources driven.
I understand having the weekend teams together in 1 location, you can have it like a tournament and over 3 days.
but this is still a tournament model and tournament host city will benefit and if neither of the teams are playing "home" it doesn't make sense at all.

i don't have the geo knowledge, but of the 8 teams, will each home team host a weekend?

club models are still home and aways and the fans are based on home city fans - or at least that is why USA's pro sport model fans are majority based or started.

2 new teams were added for Season 3, so now there are 10 teams.

There is a home team for each weekend, and they play the last (2nd) match each day. The home team is the one from the city or metropolitan area of the hosting venue. I think the match weekends are scheduled so that each team has at least 1 such opportunity to play in front of their fans and other people from their area.

In the first 2 seasons there were a few weekends held in neutral venues that didn’t have a team (with the closest team being designated as the home team) but I don’t think that is the case this season, at least before the championship weekend. I don’t know if that was intentional or due to venue availability. Anyways, I think it’s good if MLTT can hold events in other parts of the country that don’t have a team yet, and there is still enough interest for spectators from those areas to show up.

yeah, its good to hold in neutral
but I think growing a home base is equally if not more important.
most clubs survive from home base fans/sponsors.
But i'm not sure how much of this MLTT wants to copy traditional club model, or they want to copy UTT model.

Lashin with a sweep of Duran

At the start of Florida vs Bay Area, Asuka Sakai swept Ma Jinbao.

chopper Angela Guan is playing this weekend as a substitute for Florida. Romain Lorentz used a long pips racket to give Mati Ekholm practice against chops. Senura Silva provided chops for Lily.

had to get the subscription going again for this weekend's event at Broward TTC! go Crocs!!!
so how does it work
you get the subscription,
watch for 3 days, and cancel it again, and keep doing it every time there is a mltt match weekend?

Every time I log in, the match being played is not highlighted for obvious viewing. Is there an app? There are no notifications or emails to inform me of events. It is like they are just taking the money but not trying to make sure you get value for it. Might have to cancel at this rate...

Yes, at least for iOS, named “Table Tennis TV”.
On the menu at the bottom, there is a “Live” button and the stream in progress will appear, which you then tap to view.
