I am not a political expert so I don't seriously debate facts because while facts are supposed to be facts, you find that different people have different facts. What I have learned is that a lot of things called facts depend on perspective and what you are exposed to. Even on this thread, there are people who talk about NATO and the Ukraine developing relationships that gave Russia pause. This would be analogous to having your next door neighbor make friends with your worst enemy (and you know he knows how you feel about this enemy) and saying that he never did anything that you should be concerned with. But others would point to the fact that the neighbor took an agreement to become a monk decades ago. This would be comparable to Ukraine disarming and not keeping weapons.
I like the fact that even with your views of Iran, your profile player is the top Iranian junior. They have been facing US sanctions for decades already. You might even know that part of the reason they hate the US is because of the US relationship with the monarchy and dictatorship before the Iranian revolution. And even the Shah talked about the influences of Israel and high profile Americans on how America treated his country. But I have found that these things are hard to discuss and engage in constructively unless I have a strong angle. I have largely left politics to the motivated. I don't have any influence and I don't seek any.
