I had no idea about it until it was already almost over. It would be nice if there was a site that showed the schedules of other tournaments not on the tour.

It's on the old ITTF website, just not easy to find. Many of these events are ITTF-rated even if not an official part of the tour.

No soup for you! Just kidding - I think Freitas played at a very high level and out Mizutanied Mizutani. The 7-5 point in the first game is the kind of point that Mizutani rarely loses. After watching this, I felt that if Freitas had a regular practice partner with the power of Dima, his level would go up pretty fast. Unfortunately, all those guys other than Dima are in China.

Also found it when it is all over. I do not understand why ITTF do not cover it, while 3 players ranked top 10 took part in tournament. Some scores I found only here:

Mizutani is not playing high level since olympics, maybe he practises less.
