Thanks for the feedback and support.

I think we'll add the mute function for you.

Lots of users complained when the serving modules were fast. The issue was they couldn't keep track of the score.

You guys rock!

Some feedback on the serve return module. In the backhand serve, when Trevor serves topspin, he massively pulls his elbow backwards and upwards, so it is very easy to distinguish between serves without watching teh contact.

Many servers have such tells when serving and for this particular serve, it is one common feature. One question is whether you have time to read such things in a match when the ball is coming towards you. Some servers also serve backspin but use a vigorous elbow follow through as deception. Maybe Trevor doesn't have that version. So in the end contact is where to start. If you can't see contact, anything that helps is better than nothing. In the hidden serve days, people would find ways to start the serve one way, do things with the wrist at contact and then follow through deceptively as if everything flowed in one piece.

NextLevel is correct. You can always find differences or tells when the server changes the spin. When you are busy thinking about other aspects of the games, you may not be in the right state of mind to pick up on the cues.

Table Tennis Edge always you to just focus on the cues so they become obvious and you'll subconsciously know what spin is on the ball even when your mind is busy. It's about constant practice in a safe environment.

I understand your point and I agree. However, other serves (pendulum, reverse-pendulum and tomahawk) are not as obvious to read and I find them much more useful. I have to say that the serve modules are awesome and I really enjoyed your slow-mo replay feature. Some ideas if you're interested:

1) Film some penholders, these guys are tricky
2) Add a module with a long fast serve when you have to pick up the direction quickly like in multi-ball

Did not read everything on the tread but the UI is much better now. Would like if you could include the option to mute the sound. I find it slightly annoying and I would rather listen to some music on my device. I also preferred the fast paced guessing of serves in the earlier versions of this app. Having to wait about 2-3 seconds per guess in the serves really does accumulate in the long run. Maybe you could add this as an option in future versions. Anyways, love the app. Keep this up

The mute sound option will be available in the next version (about 7 days away). It didn't make the cut this week.

We have included the mute all function on the latest version. If you're on Android, it's there now. IOS probably tomorrow. There is a new backhand serve and other stuff.

@Brett : Can we have a module to predict whether a serve is long or short ? I know its probably difficult to do, but just asking ...
May be one where the video pauses just after the first bounce and receiver has to choose , then the video completes giving a "correct" or a "wrong" feedback depending on the choice ....

Also, felt there could be some improvement possible on the navigation between the menus/submenus , e.g. one should be able to switch levels once the module is completel , instead of going back to the menu etc. ....

Thanks for your suggestions.

I agree that it should be easier to switch levels at the end of a multiball game. What else were you talking about specifically?

The one thing I noticed was that since we play with a single hand , instead of having a button as a response , why not have something similar to a joystick , where the responder can put his finger and wait for the stimulus and then swipe left or right ....
I will definitely let you know if I have any other specific suggestions ..
you could do similar gestures for top or underspin ...etc
Thanks for your suggestions.

Here's Part 1 of our new series on ttEDGE.com

Awesome video! For the most serves in the app I can "read" them by looking for different actions on the serve, but I have no idea how to read from the contact :(

Just an idea: you may actually have different levels of difficulty for serve receive training. On lower levels, you may change your service action to exaggerate the difference between contacts, like what beginners do when they learn to serve different spins. While on the higher level services will be the way they are.

It's about constant medium to long term exposure. The app and these videos obviously need to be used in conjunction with 'real life' returning.

Yeah, I practice hard, but my opponent's serves are not as stricky as yours.
