There have been some ridiculous backshots in recent times with videos popping up every now and then of this extremly skilled shot! Today a new backshot has surfaced, submitted by youtuber MrThePortal of Carlo Rossi's backshot, it is insane! This has a good chance featuring in the top 10 shots of the year TableTennisDaily video we believe!

I used to think this shot was impossibly difficult. But having worked on shoulder rotation while moving with my forehand, I can see how the right backswing feeds into this kind of stuff as well as the fact that many table tennis players are used to hitting the ball without looking at it. It's still a spectacular shot, but not as outlandish as I once thought it was in my head.

You should give it a go Matt, it's great fun! The only downside to it however is it can become a bad habit pretty quickly... second thoughts, don't try it haha!
