Hello once again a Happy New Year!
To USDC, thanks for liking my vid.
To Victor, Congrats on the win at US Open. Did you have prior play experience before taking on Stellan as your coach? I meant to say, did you start from scratch with Stellan or did you have prior experience? I do find the irony: Your coach is a shake-hand player coaching a C-Pen playerlike yourself whereas mine is the opposite, my coach is a J-Pen player ( no BH rubber ) coaching a shake-hand player. Irony isn't it?
To Brs, A super like to you for taking time to watch the whole video and help to analyze it. Super super massive like for you from me.
===================================
A little context to the video. In this session, I played three players but I only took video for this particular one match. Two of the players, including this gentleman in the video uses conventional setup, that is, shake-hand with both side inverted rubber. From the video, you will notice his playstyle ( and this is also applicable the other player whom I did not video earlier ). is rather flaccid. They don't really attack hard and aggressive. They look like those old uncles whom we can beat easily. However, it is difficult for me to play them because:
1. They have very good hand feeling and able to place the ball near the white line all over the table. Many a times, I almost misjudge it to be an out of play ball but land near the edge of the table.
2. They have very good placement skill and is able to make me run all over the table thus always negating me from using my strong shot. Many a times, I get caught on the wrong footing thus unable to use the proper body mechanics to commence my strong shots.
3. The video is not doing the whole scenario justice as from my vantage point, the video appear 2D. However in essence, they are good at making me going all over the place.
4. Contrast this with a player I played earlier who is not so good. This particular player uses one side inverted and one side long pimple. I was able to beat him 3-0. When faced with a lower level player, who is not skillful to do all the above tactics mentioned above, I am able to execute my strong stroke and win.
5. With regards to service, whereas for a lower skilled player, they tend to allow me to take 3-4 pts from them through my service and this increase my chance of winning astronomically. Unfortunately against strong players, who can receive my service well, I will be at severe disadvantage.
