I have a few favourite players, SH and PH, past and present.
But if I need to pick one name for this post, I would say: Ma Lin.

For me, Timo Boll is definitely the one who inspires my performance! I keep practising my backhand with Timo's style and hope it would work someday :D

As a tradition penhold player, the basic that I have learned since long time is more a like from Liu Guoliang and Jiang Peng-Long. But lately I tried to play like Ma lin style, the only issue is that I need to be more confident on initiating the attack

I try to copy Joo Se Hyuk's backhand technique as good as I can as I'm a chopper..so I reckon that he has inspired me a lot ;)

As a right-hander shake-hand player, my best bet is to learn from Ma Long and Wang Liqin, but because my knees and my not so young age anymore, I tried to play more like Samsonov, Shlager and Waldner, relying more on good block placement then athletic lightning footwork. And I also like Joo Se Hyuk, Chen Weixing as well as Michael Maze.

I'm inspired by Waldner and Ma long. Waldner for the way he constructs his points and Ma Long for faultless technique and ability.

Waldner and Ma long? I thought you as inspired by Jakov Krivic :p

I have always been inspired by Timo Boll... i tend to think about how he plays and moves when i play and the way he serves and spins 3rd ball.

Oh yeah, also Jakov, Choi Sze To, Kevin Satchell and not to mention Bernard Nash!
