Back in the 80's I played an exibition match with Shawn O'Neal a U.S. champion. He needed lodging so he stayed with me and found him to be a great guy and exceptional athlete.

panagiotis gionis when he was relatively unknown...he's a greek player defensive style...he has evolved his game since then and he's ranked 50 in the world i think

I love watching him. Defensive yes, but a huge forehand.

I've played Timothy Wang, 2500+ USATT, and Mark Hazinski, 2580+ USATT, (both US players) in open tournaments. Of course they destroyed me easily.

Here's some video I've uploaded of Timmy playing Jose Barbosa (Brazilian Jr. National Team): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5cXVkeWi_Q

and Mark and Timmy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS3Kd_yo1TA

I played with Timmy last week! He is really making progress this year. First time I played with him he was 8 years old.:)

I played against Graham Sandley in my league. Very good player. His ability to do everything was so high and you could just tell how experienced he was and was a well deserved ex england number 2.
I have also played Gergely Urban (Urfi) as you might know him. Again such a high standard. Will loop pretty much anything at the slightest chance

I haven't really played many top people but who I have played is Richard Mcafee(USATT Hall of Fame), Francisco Mendez (Former Mexican champion), Austin Preiss(Top Junior in US), Yahao Zhang (Top Junior/ranked like 15th in the US), and Mitchell Seidenfeld. This hopefully to change when I am at nationals in a month in Vegas

I have played my chinese friend named zhang rui ming and he was used to come to our university gym and play tt. he was the champion of his university. there was another guy he was playing for some club at provincial level here in china, i forgot his name coz we only played once and after that i haven't seen him again. both of them played with penhold style and teir technique was so great, even my friend zhang rui ming was beating a coach who gave me some tips about services. it was so good to watch them playing.
