@UpSideDownCarl can you merge the 2 threads please ?
lol
I had op blocked, so I can't see this thread (only clicked on the link to get in)
well, the other thread has so much more user interaction
it is clear zeio only wants to post in this thread, since he has 40% of the post or so since Monday.

LYJ's result here will have a huge impact on his WR next month. Dropping out of the top 10 is inevitable. The question is how big his drop will be.

Like Harimoto said about his own game, LYJ will have to adapt his as well for LA 2028.

Yuan Jia Nan was quite a bit slower than her usual self in today's match.

Liu Heng told XP after G2 to push back those backspin serves that he kept trying to open with the chiquita and to loop to Felix' middle and make it spinny as hell. XP executed much of it and got G3.

In the TO during G4, Liu Heng reminded XP to keep it simple and receive with the push instead of the chiquita if possible.

Riley got the gist of what Zhang Rui told DHK during the TO in G2, that she should not back off from the table after the serve and instead should stay close and keep the pressure up, then either BH rip a killer to SYB's BH and call it a day, or stay in the point, play to SYB's middle and spin it up.

Regardless, SYB is missing a lot of FH shots.

Xiang Peng's BH weakness finally revealed in this loss to Felix. It was ridiculous how he was winning only like 20% of the points BH-BH and this is why he will never get up to Lin Shidong's level...

You really need a good BH to stay at the top these days, one sided play just aint it.

Because the umpire determined it was bad enough there was no point giving a warning.
I did not think that the umpire had this right. it has been quite while now that i read the rules but I thought that there always had to be a warning and can not remember a rule that the warning was at the umpires discretion .

EDIT: Just had a quick read of rule 2.6.6.1 and indeed if there is no doubt in either the umpire;s or assistant's mind , then a warning is not needed..It is however the first time I have experienced it.
