LSD's absolute territory got sealed in the same manner as in the MS F match against Harimoto at ATTC 2024.

There has never ever been such a passionate crowd for Table Tennis. This is absolutely crazy. Felix was totally in the zone. LSD is still wondering what just happened. He was shaking his head in disbelief throughout the match.

Felix and Alexis are taking over the world in Men TT

That was the most enjoyable day of TT I've watched since I started watching a few years ago.

Incredible crowd and atmosphere. Mind blowing result with the hometown hero taking down LSD 4-0.

Doesn't get better than this.

Totally agree - an absolutely incredible semi final session, the entire thing was gripping from start to finish. The crowd played a big part in the whole thing - hats off to them!

Even though the big story is Felix, there were a lot of great moments in the rest of the SF matches.

S.Odo continuing her dream run and bringing out more emotion than I've seen out of CIC. I really enjoy the passion coming from CIC recently. Louder cho's and more intensity. She's just looking overall more fierce and I like it.

Hari-boy also really letting it all hang out in this one. Maybe the crowd is affecting everyone but he really dialed it to 11 in his match against Duda. Even though there were moments of pure stifling aggression, I like how he was mixing in weird stuff like chop blocks when Duda made his run to even up the scoreline. Whatever people think of his loudness, the guy really makes matches compelling with that intensity. Really warmed up the crowd for the final match of the day.

So much good stuff today.

Some of the serves are clearly hidden as well. Just saying...
Congratulations Satsuki Odo! CIC is so skilled and such a tough competitor beating a number of top Japanese players (Hayata, Hirano, Ito, Kihara). Odo's serves I think are among the best in the world especially that kick serve. And some of her receives are just as amazing (CIC even had to smile it off). Though small in stature, when given the opportunity, her loop drives and smashes have a lot of power behind them. We'll see how it plays out in the years ahead, but right now she's playing like she's the 3rd best player in Japan behind Miwa and Hina.

Not so fast. She won the first against KKY and lost going away. At best you might blame the ball helping KKY smashes. But dismissing KKY is not so easy.
Miwa is the new N1. she beats the whole CNT. she only lost to KKY due to her unusual style but I doubt she'll lose her again

Again, not so fast, doing better doesn't mean that there are no issues in the head to head. Ask Felix Lebrun if you doubt this
Miwa surpassing Hina had to happen sooner or later. I must admit to being pleasantly surprised how much sooner it has happened. It's so gratifying to see the growth of players like Miwa and Satsuki. I know Miwa is the overwhelming favorite to win, but I do hope Satsuki gets a game or two (or an epic 7 game down to the wire match would be nice!).

the comfort zone of having a chinese only crowd is no longer
maybe the french crowd would follow the brothers at every major events - who knows
that would be wonderful!

Lebrun have an official fan club on X now
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
i guess we going to have a sino-french online war soon.

when the sino crowd comes and bully hayata, the lebrun crowd might start posting the scoreboard of 4-0 and R32 depending what crowd they belong to

True, Hina dominates in the H2H. World ranking wise, Miwa will close the gap considerably after this tournament but with Hina not playing it's a foregone conclusion that Miwa's ranking will surpass Hina's. But beating WYD and more importantly SYS to lead Team Japan to victory at the Asian Champs was historic (50 years since that has happened). WTT Champions Montpellier is just icing on the cake. Although we don't know what the selection system will be for this cycle, I suspect there will be a more international focus. I'm just hoping for Hina to heal completely however long that takes. Whether it's Miwa 1 Hina 2 or Hina 1 Miwa 2, it doesn't really matter to me. And with Odo coming on strong as a potential 3rd player or at a minimum pushing others to up their game, Team Japan is growing stronger and stronger. Exciting times ahead.

the dept of JNT womens is so deep, that we need to talk about olympic selection 3 months after paris, or with 3 year and 7 months to go.... lol

CNT womens is so fragile... I hope zeio can do some stats to see for us to compare CNT OG selection versus that of JNT

JNT has youth on their hand, it is so scary

True but it comes with the asterisk of Wang Manyu"s absence and Sung Yingsha's injury/overplaying making her more vulnerable than usual. Such asterisks don't go into the history books but we as fans know them. The loss to Kim Kum Yong who also beat the whole CNT when she played them (and more convincingly than Miwa) reminds us that these things need context. Anyone who wants to ignore this context to announce Miwa's arrival is free to do so, but I wouldn't.
