The final was a bit more interesting that I expected, even if of course you were entirely right. And the second seed didn't get there, it was the person who beat him who did.Well the expected winners won. Can’t say i’m shocked at all
I think Oikawa’s run to the final was under appreciated. He beat some good players, like Oh as u mentioned. But once Oikawa beat Oh, I knew Hugo was guaranteed the titleThe final was a bit more interesting that I expected, even if of course you were entirely right. He played pretty well in the final too. Ecen scared Hugo in games 2 and 3 though Hugo fought through it and somehow miraculously won game 2 and almost stole game 3 as well but give it back. He made Hugo play amazing shots repeatedly to win and that is all you can ask.I think Oikawa’s run to the final was under appreciated. He beat some good players, like Oh as u mentioned. you forgot lights coming on in china during the middle of a rallieHere at WTT, we never stop to bring you the best, namely aerial organic fertilizer, mist of heaven, and now campfire...
Indeed. Game two was a fine example of taking each point at a time: down 3-10, yet didn't start playing safer shots for fear of leveling the match with a miss. Just kept firing... nine points in a row.He played pretty well in the final too. Also, the WD final was a good fight, plus we got the bonus of Fraser Riley solo on the mic for finals day.Well the expected winners won. Can’t say i’m shocked at all
In that case, you have to count US Smash 2025 as well, specifically the match between WMY and ZYL.you forgot lights coming on in china during the middle of a rallie
Miwa for sure is #1. Honoka I agree is #2. But now the hard part comes. Honoka has been fantastic against non-Japanese players, but she is going to have an an issue if she meets Mima or Satsuki early in the draw as both are prodigious against choppers... even the best chopper in the world.Miwa and Honoka winning their tournaments.. I think they’re the 2 strongest Japanese ladies at the moment with Odo 3rd.
You can't be #2 in your country when you can't beat at least 3 players in your country (Miwa, Odo, Mima).Miwa and Honoka winning their tournaments.. I think they’re the 2 strongest Japanese ladies at the moment with Odo 3rd.
I believe he’s talking about the Japanese Women’s players who have a good H2H against players outside Japan particularly those players from China. You can't be #2 in your country when you can't beat at least 3 players in your country (Miwa, Odo, Mima).
I know what he means, but she reliably (not accidentally) loses to her teammates. It would be interesting to see a Zhu and Hashimoto rematch as the Zhu that won the US Smash was an upgrade in my eyes. Just presenting the view that disagrees, you may agree with him but I cannot make a her a clear #2, she at best shares a 3 way tie for the spot.I believe he’s talking about the Japanese Women’s players who have a good H2H against players outside Japan particularly those players from China.
Hashimoto might not be a No 2 player for Japan as she has lost against her own teammates but when facing foreign players I feel like she is the No2/3 player for Japan if she does not meet her teammates too early in the rounds. Hashimoto has recently had success with facing former No1 Zhu Yuling and Mima Ito against Wang Yidi. So I would put Hashimoto and Ito as equals for now since they have beat recent China players compared to her teammates.
I thought this was a joke about Hugo being "on fire" at first
