Harimoto's forehand is online through out and successfully pin Togami in the bh corner, made me almost feel like Togami deliberately throw the match lol
No way Togami threw that match. Harimoto was in morbid fear of being criticized by TBH if he didn't win so he upped his forehand game.

Not seen him play this well in a long time - go Timo 👍My money on him to win.
The whole tournament has been beautiful to watch, he made Jang Woojin look like an amateur and made Noshad Alamiyan look toothless.

The light is fine, I have never heard a player complain. The visuals have more to do with the cameras.

Timo is live now vs Jang...
I think there is/was a problem with the light or at least the lighting during this match anyway otherwise you would not see a shadow player on the table. There is little a camera position or setting can do to change that. If a player stands at the same angle opposite the light angle as the camera, he will see the same as that camera, i.e. shadow of player, ball and net over table.

But Timo, Simon and Tomokazu playing exceptionally well!!!

Yeah, the Boll-Lin match, Timo did complain for a second. It didn't seem to be anything more than a second though. These people play in Qatar almost every year, this is unlikely to be a venue change, it is just the cameras since it affects almost every WTT event.

The video quality is atrocious. I'm very, very surprised that Timo got past Lin Yun Ju. I would have thought LYJ could just chiquita and out rally Timo to avoid Timo's heavy spin opening loop to win easily, but well I'm wrong!

Just a run of bad luck. Sample size is too small. ;)

Looks like that might've been the case. Harimoto's FH looked amazing in that match against Togami. Was just blasting Togami and finishing a lot of points with it. Really great to see.

it got nothing to do the with the venue, since everything is taking down again and resetup next time round.
so if any, it got to do with the equipment and setup.

I'm sure if we go with an anti "dark" theme, everything will be so much more enjoyable.

the players talk about how the brightness and darkness factor messes with the eyes. Not much forum members talk about this, but I guess, both players are in the same disadvantage, and if someone has better eye adjustment ability, then there is a bonus there. (talking about time outs where everything goes darker)

old Timo shows that the older the ginger, the spicier it is.
Timo won by playing into Lin's FH more. One of the LH vs LH issues Lin has...

Togami 2-3 Harimoto (8, -4, -2, 7, -7)
Harimoto is better at covering his FH pocket here after WTT SCT Doha 2024.
Was curious how many he got here. Only points in the highlights, likely more in the full matches.

Better handling of shots to FH pocket:
VS Togami

Didn't get them all but way better than leaning over to play BH:

https://youtu.be/k7_a6e2vZgY?t=343
https://youtu.be/k7_a6e2vZgY?t=361

Still has trouble timing the FH when transitioning away from the table:

VS Duda
https://youtu.be/qWyt8G0fDow?t=8

Difficult to stop him if he could get the wide FH back, especially after guessing it wrong:

yes what a comeback from Harimoto. the turning point an edge from Timo which followed a BH on the side of the table, point for Harimoto in the previous point.
Harimoto totally collapsed mentally. and the WTT stream also did collapse. what a shit

Timo v Tomo. I beat O

TBH criticism time....
LMAO.

Harimoto "Best non-Chinese" "maximized his potential" manages to lose to 42 year old player on his way out. All the while being up 3-2 and easily could've closed it out. All the while not facing Chinese opponent.

Again YOU are the one ignoring facts and the actual results. This is not the performance of a man coming into his physical prime and maximizing on his talent and early success.

From the points that I could see, Boll didn't hit as much to Harimoto's middle as others did.

Bravo, Timo Bol! You surprised me, again and again, simply incredible!
I expected more from Harimoto. I think that he will gradually fall down the rankings...

Agree. Harimoto was handling elbow shots very well with his backhand, so Boll was playing spinny shots to his wide backhand and getting him to block and counter off the table.
