FB definitely looked gassed out towards the end of the match. Good showing in this tournament. Idk what rubbers he was using, but that ball was flying off on his BH.
I watched the match against Robles and was wondering about his BH rubber. Didn’t look like a H3.

Maybe FB was jet lagged as he got weak in the evening?

In the 4th set at 8-6 he says 见不了 what translates to “cant see it”
Yeah, it was definitely hidden and the root of why he lost. That being said, I feel like if he is confident he could've dealt with it, but instead he blanked out, he was very predictable in the last set and made bad decisions.

In the 4th set at 8-6 he says 见不了 what translates to “cant see it”
That was his mistake. If the opponent was making illegal serves, he should have complained to the umpire. And if the umpire didn't seem to care, he could have hidden his own serves as well to gain a few cheap points. He's more than capable of doing it.

Just watching … FB is taped at his back neck. And is not able to get away from balls into his middle. He looks handicapped in a way.

Didn’t Ankur win against LS some months ago?

There were a lot of hidden hook serves from the Indian opponent but I feel like FB could have simply use sideswipes and safe, slow long pushes to force his opponent to play more shots and try to drag it out to a 50-50 rally. Instead he went for a lot of all or nothing risky BH flicks or short pushes and gifted so many free points.

Maybe Fang Bo is not so confident in his topspin rallying skills at the moment or maybe he blanked out a bit.

But his FH loop and short push is still really good!

Fang Bo just lost to Ankur 1-3. He looked rusty
Ankur is a really strong player, Fang Bo should have won, but Ankur is by far the best prospect on the Indian national team and is not averse to taking risks on both forehand and backhand. Of course, at that level, struggling with a hidden serve usually means that the setve os of high quality even when hidden. Umpires need to do better and this is one reason why I am not a fan of the any part of thr ball is visible at contact approach to this issue of hidden serves.
