Now, these female fans are no longer concerned about the national flag and are the guards who support their favorite athletes across borders.

I wondered what would happen if the WTT was held in Japan without these Chinese guards. I was worried that the stands would feel empty. Most of the WTT is sponsored by Chinese companies, and most of the ticket revenue comes from purchases by Chinese fans. Many people may be fed up with table tennis because China is so strong, but in reality, Chinese money supports this event. I suddenly thought that if it were not for that, the event might not even be held in Japan.

Odo/Yokoi might just be the very best doubles pair in the world right now. A bit of a rough start, but their brutal speed and power took over. Also, got to give a lot of credit to coach Sakamoto. He's really done wonders for these two.

for WTT, it should not be about country and be about players, so this to me is fine.
leave the country to those events that is about country.
WTT is about each individual player and maybe one day, the players deal directly with WTT and not through the national federation.

Maybe one day, CNT players (and all those wearing national team uniform) in WTT can wear they own uniform too, that would be great.

well, there is no sides to this.
Chinese fans seems to always get tickets, while some local fans struggle to get tickets.
questions needs to be asked if certain tickets are IP locked.

I think a better push needs to be made to balance the crowd, so it isn't unbalanced like in history. There are some venues that would attract crowds too and Chinese fanboys are not the only group that follow stars, there are more and more fanboys from different countries traveling the international circuit to follow stars.

I noted back in 4/2024 that the level displayed by Odo and Yokoi up to that point wouldn't be enough for LA 2028 and boom, Odo lost to Batra in straight games in WT SF of ATTC 2024, her first continental competition (and not to mention the XD). Odo revealed at WTT CS Montpellier 2024 that she had been off lately but she was on on the final day. That's the lower limit that LGL assessed for the Olympics. 4 years is a long time. Even Hirano said she was frustrated that her results and her position in the world did not match up during the 5-year Tokyo 2020 cycle. Her wins at Polish Open 2016, World Cup 2016, Zennihon Takkyu 2017 and ATTC 2017 and the bronze medal at WTTC 2017 were even more impressive and she maintained that form from 4/2016-6/2017. How long can Odo and Yokoi keep this up? It's still an unknown. Odo and Yokoi will turn 24 when LA 2028 comes. That will be their only chance to make it.
