USATT always has high level players in world ranking. I'm not sure what you have been following all this time?

Anyone in WR100 is very respected, not to mention inside WR50
The women's side has more than men's
Mens is a bit light now as USA no1 is still serving his ban and lost a lot of WR points. He had a high of WR19. He is only 23 years old and due to play again in a few months.
Well yeah I know Kanak Jha is quite good on the world level, but my impression is that Kanak is quite a bit better than Ma Jinbao.

But maybe all the Chinese provincial players just don't really get to show their true level. Maybe if all the provincial players played on the world tour, they would just flood the rankings from 50 to 150.

Depending if it is active provincial players (training full time) versus formal / retired provincial training that is coaching semi to full time. And then you need to take into consideration on what province. China has 30 of them, many of them are very weak.
If you take the upper tier of the best versus the lower tier of the worse, the gap difference is pretty huge.

Many of China's provincial players - as there is no really way to go up, a lot of them do actually start to halting in any improvements or progress (what is the purpose to train your life away, as you know its pointless). I met a few who were 18 or 20 years old, and they just have no chance of going into CNT. Trying to go up to Jia A or Jia B is likely the best case for them and trying not to get kicked out from the youngsters but eventually, they will be out of the setup.
These guys could beat CNT members on a good day, but they just don't have international experience, or experience playing against styles other than Chinese

so would Ma Jinbao be considered a high level provincial player? I think Kou Lei would be high tier provincial player, but it seems like Ma Jinbao is just slightly below his level.

Where would the top 20 provincial players approximately rank on the world level? like 50-100?

It's bizarre, but many players from China, Korea and Japan that just finished playing the Asian games are there in Lanzhou. So I'm not really sure the schedule is that much of an issue since those that it should affect are in China anyway, it's mostly the Europeans that are uninterested and would rather play in Muscat I guess.
The main issue is the PDR. Another is holding a Grand Smash as a Star Contender in China. LOL The Star Contender and Contender are not by design to host this level of competition.

Alexis lost to Isaac Quek.
I couldn't see where Alexis' racket go after the match point but I heard a loud thump and it wasn't in his hands afterwards. Very likely another racket thrown.
Funny (and sad) thing is I told my non-tt friend that a racket will be thrown if he loses, and it happened

European Games 2023 and ETTC 2023 were the turning points. It can be argued there were signs even as early as WTTC 2023.

a mix of injuries, and mental problems for Alexis.

way way too nervous. also probably affected by the rise of his little bro. he was on fire for a few months and from there its been rather disappointing, because we've been expecting so much as well.

I hope Ma Jinbao does well. I always like watching him play, but I always had the impression that there is a huge gap between USATT level and WTT level.

But he already beat world #94, and he advanced farther than Yoshimura already. So maybe the gap is not as wide as I thought. Or maybe high USATT level is around world ranking 50-100
I'm not sure why you are using speculation to replace data. USATT players like Ma Jinbao who are 2700 are clearly world class (you don't beat Kou Lei or Eugene Wang without being world class). Jishan Liang who is a notch below did beat Drinkhall in the US. A lot does come down to specific things not entirely captured by rating, but if you are 2700+, you can play almost anywhere in the world, maybe not at the very top. 2800+ is world class, even if only for day.

Hopefully he threw it at that big mural picture of himself. Honestly, they did A. Lebrun dirty putting his giant face there. I would be too distracted to play if I had to stare at my own 10 foot giant sized head every other set.
