For W-1 in Blades
Pros
  • Control
  • Feel
The W-1 is billed as the "Wood King" in the lineup of Yinhe/Galaxy blades. There are two thin layers of carbon and you really dont feel them at all. This is a control looping blade, NOT some OFF+ hitting machine. Just like Nacy Sinatra sang "These boots were meant for Walking" the W1 is meant for LOOPING... over and over. There isnt a whole lot of power in it. Speed tops out at low end of OFF on your power hits. Feel is there with some decent vibration feedback. Strength of blade is continuous loop attack and control of placement. This balde has the control of what you expect out of a classic ALL+ blade, but a better top end. Still, dont expect to blast through everyone on your first loop using it.

Pros
  • Top end control
Cons
  • Lacks speed
This blade has outstanding control. I really like how I can block incoming attacks very easily. Even when a player has put a lot of rotation on the ball I can block with little problems. The blade also has a carbon feel which means I can attack with speed if I want to. It is not the fastest carbon blades out there, but it certainly is one of the most controlled.

I tried my friends rubber in the club the other day who uses the Airoc S. I felt a good amount of speed and spin and I think I could use it myself however I am addicted to Chinese rubbers on the forehand now. I think this rubber would suit the backhand well. My only concern was sometimes away from the table the rubber lacked control. But again this could be because i'm used to tacky chinese rubbers so my stroke is used to being able to grab the ball.

A forgiving blade with lots of speed. Splinters easy so be careful when changing rubbers or modifying it. A bit on the heavy side due to the 9ply. HUGE sweetspot. Great blade.

This Chinese rubber has good control and a lot of spin. The throwangle is medium/high. Its not that fast and pretty heavy as most Chinese rubbers. Really tacky! In comparison to the DHS Skyline 2 neo i found this rubber to be slower and the throw higher. Not as direct. Still, a great rubber.
I used it on a Stiga Hybrid wood blade.

This Chinese rubber is heavy but not as heavy as Hurricane 3 neo. I find it faster then Hurricane 3 neo and it has a lower throw angle. I find it more direct. It suits both FH and BH play. A great rubber for the money. I use it on a Stiga Hybrid Wood blade, love the speed and spin.

Pros

I trained on these tables at my club about 4 times a week for about 2 years.

They are pretty good tables but are certainly not the best. For high end performance players and for tournaments I do not recommend as the ball stays low and will sometimes skid along the table...you may only notice this if you play to a fairly high standard.

They are still good solid tables but if you are making an investment to buy one for the club or for your own personal use i would buy a different table.

I absolutely love this blade been using this for 6 months, swapped from my primorac carbon, it is a tad slower than the primorac carbon, heavier and stiffer but is a much better blade in terms of craftsmanship mine weighs in at 90g. Kill shots are a dream with this blade although forehand flicking can be quite difficult due to the stiffness imo counter looping is easy but passively blocking isn't as easy as other blades but active blocking is also very easy with this a blade. Overall a very good staple for fast attacking composite blades.

For 2 star 40+ in Balls
Pros
  • Hard
  • Fairly round
  • Durable
On my visit to Beijing last month with STIGA, we visited the Chinese National Team Training centre. All the players from the National A and B squad including Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, Zhang Jike, Xu Xin, Ding Ning etc were all training with this ball. I only saw one ball break throughout the whole 2 hour training session. I was surprised and managed to try out these balls could feel the quality of the ball. I still think plastic balls have a fair way to go to feel similar to the celluloid ball however this DHS 2* was reasonable. I have given it 5 stars as I think it's one of the best out of the plastic balls I have tried.

This blade is less stiff than other carbon blades, and more control. On the other hand, it is also slower. Mine is much faster than others, and I don't like that. The handle is wider than most, and you need to sand it or else your fingers will get blisters.

I say this is like a fast allwood. The carbon gives it power while the arylate gives it control. Again, I like other people's better because they are slower. There is much less feeling than in an allwood.

Forehand off the table with this is easy. It'll help you pick up a half long serve or kill-loop a ball inches from the floor that you misanticipated. I find that if I miss a ball, I only put too much effort into it.

My backhand technique is fairly awful. I make only 65% of my BH loops against underspin and I can't really blame that on the blade or rubber.

The problem comes over the table. It is harder to flip. It is harder to push short. A different blade would help you bring the ball over the net. This has been the biggest downfall of the blade.

Blocking is consistent and excellent. The blade is consistent everywhere on it.

For Rhyzm in Rubbers
Pros
  • Very spinny
  • Very fast
Cons
  • Durability
I bought this after trying it on a friends blade and I've been in love with it since! Great for creating heavy spin shots or faster topspins, it has enabled me to get that extra kick on the ball to make it awkward for my opponents to deal with. Control definitely comes with practice. However normally I can last a season with rubbers before I notice anything, after about six months were completely gone but this might be normal for some of you.

Other than that I would highly recommend them to any attacking player out there!

These balls are identical to the DHS and Double Fish plastic balls. They tend to split along the seam very very easily. Durability is terrible. They also feel pretty soft. I personally prefer the seamless balls and haven't tried the Nittaku Premium balls but I hear they are the best.

Pros
  • Great Feeling
  • Balanced Carbon
  • J.O-like Control
Cons
  • Some Vibration
The J.O Senso is a carbon blade with a hollow handle, has great spring feeling and is superb for control spinning and blocking. Really allows the ball to sink into the rubber with it's softer feel. I have been using the J.O blade since 2011 and have tried changing a couple of times, but always came back to it. It might just be my blade for life!

Tenergy o5 is my choice of rubber. It allows you to play an offensive game with loops from anywhere close or away from the table . Despite the speed , it's great on the short game for serves and touching , receiving is easy whether flicking or digging long . I love blocking with the rubber as the spring sponge technology allow absorption of the speed . I use this on my forehand and backhand sides , would recommend to all offensive players.

I bought this blade to try and achieve more speed, control and feeling in my game and it did exactly that . You can do anything with this blade from short push to topspin shots. It's comfortable to hold and easy to block with . This blade will accompany a fast rubber like tenergy because it will complement the speed and control of the rubber. I cannot find any floors in this product. The anatomic handle is very comfortable for this product. Would highly recommend this to anyone who has an offensive game !

I really like this shoe,
I bought mine for for the sole purpose of tt training on a regular basis. I bought them for about £120 hoping that the price reflects the quality, and they delivered. They are comfortable , attractive to the eye and lightweight so I have no problem doing drills that require lots of footwork . The rim of the sole feels sturdy so if you put pressure on it the rigidness provides additional support for you feet and ankles. The downsides to the energy force shoe it that it is expensive , however I feel that the high price reflects it's high quality . The other problem is that the grip of the sole is lost slightly if not regularly cleaned with water . Overall a great shoe for table tennis .

Definitely the best wood blade i have used. although in the past i have been more favorable to carbon blades to match my attacking style, the amount of feel that this blade gives me when executing the strokes combined with a good speed, something i havent found in other wood only blades, making it a real winner in my book.

especially good at playing serve and short game, whilst also allowing m to play a strong attacking game. 9/10

Using this rubber atm in combination with the Stiga Rosewood VII blade. First thing i noticed with this rubber is that it is definitely more suited to use with the new poly ball than the old celluloid ball, although obviously with the rule changes coming into effect from July i can only see this as a positive thing, as STIGA have clearly designed this rubber series with the new balls in mind.

The main thing for me was that when playing attacking shots, as i have also found with a large variety of STIGA rubbers, the trajectory on the ball is very flat compared to some other brands, and this left me feeling there is little margin for error, and as a player whos style is generally to play with high quantities of spin i found it didnt allow me the trajectory i need to play to my strengths, something which i did find with the STIGA boost series of rubbers and Tibhar evolution. However, positives of this rubber were that it was easy to control and also durable, having used it for 3 months without having to change.

I will probably persevere with this rubber through to next season to see how my results fair with the new ball. 7/10

I used this rubber during the speed glue era along with Sriver. These two rubbers were extremely popular during the speed glue era. The amount of control you had to ratio of speed and spin was perfect. The only problem is without speed glue you don't have enough speed.

Nowadays this rubber is very good for beginners and intermediate players wanting to develop their technique. I haven't seen to many players use this rubber any more. It use to be so popular! Those were the days...

This blade has tremendous amounts of control and feel. I would recommend this blade for beginners and intermediate players. I used this blade when I was younger and it really pushed me to work on my strokes. The high control allowed me to not make many unforced errors when developing my technique. I also know a few kids starting out who use this blade and they are blocking very well to.
