Hm.
Usually I like to discuss differences between XIOM and other brands but this is toughy.
But I hope my honesty can reach you.

Okay,
here it goes.
Sigma II and Vega Japan are 3rd generation rubbers from XIOM.
The basic structure of Vega Japan is quite similar to Sigma II Euro.
Please note Sigma II pro and Sigma II euro are really different.
Sponge is different and even the hardness of the sponge is different.

If you want to compare Vega Japan with Sigma II.
You must compare it with Sigma II "Euro"
So, the biggest difference?
Sweet spot. Vega Japan has larger sweet spot compared to Sigma II Euro.
While Sigma II Euro is made for higher catapult compared Vega Japan, and it is harder to play with.
While Vega Japan, to be frank is really really top noch rubber with almost everything from Sigma II, but easier to play with.
Also it is cheaper.

Honestly Price for Value, I recommend Vega Japan.
Once you are comfortable with Vega Japan, then please move to Sigma II Euro.

Thickness available.
1.8
2.0
Max (2.2)

Best to my knowledge, the Xiom come with thickness 1.8, 2.0, and 2.3 (max).

Vossi, i might be wrong, but i think Isaac knows quite well what he is speaking of.
And he really should, 'cause afaik he's manager for XIOM in Europe.

:p

Nevermind.
:)
That just happened to me yesterday on some other thread...

Have a good one, Buddy

Actually this was pointed towards Sakumi.

I contacted the seller asking about how thick max was, hopefully they will reply soon :)

Why wait for the answer of a retailer when the company's manager already has given the answer personally.

BTW: no manager of DONIC, Butterfly, or any Tabletennis company has ever posted in one of my threads, so in your case i would rather feel blessed, dude...

No, unfortunately.

Is this some kind of comedy, or is this candid camera???

Dude, you still don´t get it, do ya?

No need to wait for a response from your retailer, ´cause you´ve got the answer from someone that should even know better than your retailer. You´ve got the answer directly from XIOM Manager himself.
I doubt anyone else could help you better.... *smh*

I realised that, I was replying to his question. I messaged him privately so I got the info that I needed. I have been on holiday so I haven't been able to update the thread saying that I had got an answer. I said 'unfortunately' because I expected an answer from a question I had asked more than a few weeks ago - just stating my reaction to their poor customer support.
