WCQ is definitely handicapped with his new racket. So many mistakes on the first attacking ball. After two sets, he looks like a normal world-class player and not like the invincible machine he normally is.
Agreed. I wonder if he got up really early or stayed up late to get some practice with it in.

He has to exchange force for feeling and spin due to the new racket, understandable but since Truls is also well-verse in this aspect it will be tougher than usual. Looks like Wang has gained back control in game 3

It's probably more mental than anything. Does he have the mental fortitude to work through it? He has a rough draw for a top seed, so no room for errors. Let's see if he's got the mental makeup of a champion.

Hirano first to finish in this session. Saved game point in the first game and came back from 5-8 down in the 4th.
