MT Bronze Medal Match
FRA 1-0 JPN

During the doubles match, HKTTA coach Lau Yiu Cho and HKG player Lam Yee Lok pointed out that Europe is more technically advanced than Japan now, as proven through this Olympics.

"Alexis LeBrun playing with his childhood hero."

Alexis is 20, Simon is 29. I mean, he very well may be his idol, but the statement sounds idiotic none the less, considering they're both in their twenties.
Not at all, it is in some ways a reminder of the fact that Gauzy has been good and leading France for a long time and from a young age.

Do or die for Japan. They are definitely the underdogs here.
I feel that with a different draw, France would have had a good chance at silver and were the second best team in the event. That's part or the reason I feel Japan has no real chance.

The toss was obviously not vertical, pretty much all his tosses aren't, but to call it at that moment is questionable and WCQ doesn't get called out.
He does this all the time. So as I wrote pages ago, all illegal services.

Because your strength is habitually your strength, even if your opponent is stronger at it.
Majority of points win went to Felix's elbow and he's nearly lost all the backhand exchanges. He's managed to win some in the 5th game though so the momentum might be shifting.

10-8 to 10-12 were all fed to Felix's backhand. The two points from 7-4 to 7-6 as well. But I feel for Tomo, when you're on a losing streak it's hard to believe you can win and focus on tactics even when you're ahead. It'll take a miracle for Japan to win now.
