I saw photos of some of the TPE players go, but didn't bother checking out the tournament info.

and after checking the players now, I can say this is probably the least attended contender to date.
if it wasn't for the dozens of local entries to fill the spots, womens singles could of started from the round of 16

surprised many Americas players didn't take part

Satsuki Odo beats her R32 opponent at 0,1,2 in under 10 minutes.
Odo would've been in trouble if it were a best of 25. Her opponent was clearly adjusting, just ran out of games.

Is this the longest name in WTT history?

View attachment 31650

That's just plain excessive lol

10 min....

2 min warm up
time out 1 min
2 x 1 min game break time in between games.

plus towel breaks....
technically it is probably 3 mins of playing time for 33 points vs 3 points

Odo beats her R16 opponent at 2,2,2. Match time was 9 min 28 sec.

Oikawa scrapes by 11-9 in the 5th against local player Rodrigo Hidalgo.
I’m so confused how Odo is not Japans best female or at least second or third at this point lol

Because the JNT women's team is deep. You can make the case for Odo being 4th behind Hayata/Miwa/Hirano.
Never thought I would hear the day when Ito falls to 4th/5th option haha
