Me thinks Alexis is overrated and apart from his break out performance, and his wins in the Euro cup, he's not really shown himself to be a true contender. People talk about his "ceiling" but what's so special about someone's ceiling if it only appears once in two years? He's not a stable high level performer evidenced by not being in the top 10.

The Japan that played China will beat France silly.

GER 1-0 FRA
Duda 3-0 A. Lebrun (7, 9, 6)

Ahem, "And you really think the level of their opponents was comparable?"

Will Alexis ever recover his former form?

There is a first time for everything, between the injury and Duda's improvement, things were trending this way. What I like is how you project the current into the past as if it has always been this way.

Pretty sure he was in the bottom of the top 10 before his injury. As for being overrated, that is for everyone to decide. But apart from his serving issues which I think he needs to clean up, he is a younger version of Hugo and we all see what Hugo has done in terms of being able to hit with quality from all positions on the court and using this after getting loose balls. Before Hugo did what he did, I was projecting on Alexis the ability to play that way. His limitations are what they are and losing time to a fracture is not a joke and he might not fully recover. But his ability to generate power was in a class of only 2 or three players in the world and if he gets that back, he will be in rare air. But since Hugo has almost gotten there, Alexis would not be as novel as it would have been in the absence of Hugo's recent play.

iikwajv2278: 但是德国和法国打还有说法,小布不好打杜达,打小弗最近一次也输了,大布现在不好说,且看这次欧锦的交手吧

(But there is still a lot to say about the match between GER and FRA. It is not easy for Little B to play against Duda, and he lost to Little F[ranziska] recently. It is hard to say about Big B now, let's see how they play in this ETTTC)

This con artist thing - the rankings are what they are. Other than continental controversy, everyone earns their ranking.
I feel the continental ranking points have some merit in that it can allow more underrepresented continents and countries to participate in the highest level of competition, even if they lose 3-0 badly every time, to gain valuable experience and exposure. I bet no one had ever heard of Edward Ly prior to his incredible 2024 pan am cup and subsequent WR35 ranking. That being said, there are still some problems to this, which is that the WR just ends up ranking mostly participation anyways over skill level. No offense, but I would still take washed up WR71 Lim Jonghoon over any of the higher ranked Aussie players

maybe i am crazy but i swear i just saw a bird fly across the screen
birds is common when there are birds flying outside too.
some places won't have any birds, because of air pollution or a concrete jungle

what normally happens is when the delivery rolling gate is opened up for deliveries, it allows birds to fly in.
so, from the positive side, there is life in the skies.
In many over populated cities, it is very difficult to find birds flying in the skies
