So I ended up sticking to the FZD for 6 months as I started getting coaching and didn't wanna mess with equipment for a while. Now I've improved my FH/BH fundamentals I decided to give the Q968 a twirl. The FH is fantastic, not the exaggerated arc of the W968 but better than the FZD, great spin, and much more power compared to the FZD. The BH is a lot more crisp than the W968. It's not as crisp as the FZD let alone the Viscaria, but crisp enough that I can use the same motion.

The caveat is that, at least for me, it doesn't work very well with H3 on the BH side for an intermediate level player like me. The H3 like the W968 is very much an all-or-nothing type of equipment. You either play soft or you go all out with a big motion. On the pro level the opponent shots are strong enough to activate the combo, but at the intermediate level you get a lot of relatively weak returns that you can theoretically kill but I don't have the skills to do so. OTOH, due to its crispness, it actually works pretty well with the D09c, unlike the W. So now I have the D09c on it and will give it a try for a few months to see if I'd rather switch back to the FZD. Maybe if my BH gets better I can give the H3 (or maybe H8?) another try, but right now I'm sticking to the same rubbers as on my FZD.

Glad you’re enjoying your Q968. I shifted away from DHS blades mostly because i’m so used to Butterfly grips that the DHS handle and wings hurt my hand, which is why I’m back to my Viscaria and recently bought a (quite cheap) brand new ZJK ALC since my Vis is on its last legs

I'm the exact opposite! No matter how long I use BTY blades I'm just drawn to the DHS handle and wings. That plays a big part in my decision to keep going back to DHS as well.

I have played with a prov W968 and now have Q968 and S968 national - nto yet played with these enough to report but will do. Initial impression of Q968 is that I like it better than W968 by a fair margin. I have played with a Q king commercial version for a while and loved it.
IS Hurricane King Q968 and Wang Chuqin Q968 the same ? or they label differently ?

I'm just coming from the Harimoto Super ZLC, to now the National Q968 (5.98 thickness, 89.7g weight). I have a lot of good things to say about the blade. I've never used the commercial Hurricane King version so I can't compare but the Q968 feels very solid, comfortable to hold and a bit stiff. It must be the pressed limba and the solid core, I'm sure in one or two months it will soften a bit after repeated practice. While my set up weighs 195g, it does not really feel head heavy which is surprising considering if my Harimoto had anything higher than 190g, you could feel the weight immediately. Backhands are crisp, not as much as the FZD alc but the forehand is so much stronger. One thing for certain the touch is elite on soft balls. I've been loving it so far!

I got a CS W968 made in March this year that is quite hard and stiff compared to how I imagined it would play. My old Provincial Long 5 is softer and way slower in the first gear with more catapult. Anyone with similar experience?

Hurricane King is basically the commercial version of the Q968. The actual Q968 can be had from the provincial and national versions. What WCQ/others use are the player versions of the blade that are expensive.
Thank you. Does anybody sell an Used Q968-NO.1 for cheaper ? i want to buy and try it .
