he doesn't know much about European leaguesWhy do you always have to argue with people? It's quite annoying and unpleasant.
Grunwettersbach is an example of a club that clearly didn't want to go far in the Pokal - they played round of 16 in Fulda with a B team. It's also (mostly?) a question of money, as the top players are contracted for a certain amount of matches only per year.
PS: Dusseldorf already missed Final Four last year, but that was because of a tough draw against Fulda.

if the focus is to not go far, he probably still thinks the player will play 100%
its all based on the focus of the club management.
how I know? I deal with these clubs management and with all due respect to nextlevel - it is probably general knowledge in the German community too.
