ITTF website stuck in the nineties

OK srsly, the design is just atrocious. It's like it's 1998 all over again, and we're all on 56 kbps modems. :D

It's 2012 for crying out loud, nice looking websites are not the elite thing any more. This is actually embarrassing in a way, because table tennis is now more then ever getting crap from ignorants claiming it's not a *real* sport, and ITTF should be doing a better job at making TT appealing for the masses.

Surely, one way of doing this is eye-candy, no? And I think you'll agree that the current look is just the opposite of eye-candy. It makes ITTF look like it doesn't even take itself seriously, IMO.

Agreed, the design isn't the best. ETTU's site has had a makeover this year, before that it wasn't great either as far as I remember.
ETTU.org looks much better, though it cannot be said that its design is completely up to date either, aesthetics-wise. Just look at UEFA.com or ATPtennis.com. But I imagine these two pay their webmasters considerably more. :D

2012 ETTC official site looks great, though.

Could not agree with you more. I am not sure if you have considered the number of views on the site from all of the world to take a decision on whether or not upgrading it would be commercially viable or not !

look at those GIFs, amazing. people saying the sports is lame, this is one of the reason.

it is just ridiculous. they can outsource it as a project. or hire 2 in-house IT guy, one for web design, one for video editing. ITTF is so frustrating.

they dont see it as an urgent matter, after every year. their priority is to beat china first, by changing the rules. lmao.

just pick one of the designer here http://www.thebestdesigns.com/ and hire a team to maintain it.
