  3. Hardbat v sandwich or David vs Goliath

Here's an interesting matchup. Martin Gunn, massively built at 6'4" and over 240llbs. He's a full-time hardbat player and here he's tested against 12yo Louis Price, 4'6" with a normal fast sandwich bat. Martin is an old top junior and active on the veterans scene while Louis is an upcoming...

  6. Weird playing style

Yes to the first two. Maybe a picky umpire would fault the arm. But my 3rd would be tossing from the fingers not the palm. In fact it almost appears that he is flicking the ball thus imparting spin. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. Weird playing style

Reference Lukasz serve, it is very effective but an experienced player would protest very quickly. Have a look at 6:29. He used this serve several times in the match. However, an umpire could fault him on any of 3 (maybe 2.5) serve rule breakers. Can you spot them?
  8. Weird playing style

How high a level he can get to is limited by the style. He also has to learn how to serve legally.

  13. Wristpains

I'm sure Baal will soon appear and give a comprehansive advice. But I will say that every advanced TT player suffers from wrist pain at some time or other. The solution usually comes down to doing wrist exercises for strengthening and warmup. There are loads on the web and YouTube. Choose the...

  15. Choosing my next rubber as an all round player and a step up from mark v? Roughly 1.8

The key is in the blade I was surprised at first but it appears that Tenergy is very controllable against incoming shots when paired with a control blade. But didn't Joo also chop with his FH using Tenergy?

  17. Married Ai Fukuhara Aims for 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Is the marriage ring also a Japanese and Chinese tradition? Or is it something that was originally Chinese and adopted in the West?
  18. Choosing my next rubber as an all round player and a step up from mark v? Roughly 1.8

Tenergy is always the answer! But seriously, I know of 3 strong players with your game. they all used Mark V for years then moved to Tenergy (1.9 I think) on an allround blade. The best chopper in England is Joanna Parker, now on a long sabbatical, she uses tenergy in her mostly chopping game.
