I am not going to provide much of a gisting of this vid right away, I would like TTD members to look at the vid NOT understanding much of what KJH is saying, but look at what he is doing and discuss some keys to success. This vid covers how to make an opening spin loop vs an incoming underspin...

Der_Echte has used the KJH a few years as a main blade and had a number of adventures. I promised to make a thread for someone about this so they could share their fun. Out of the many KJH adventures, I gotta say swithching to Karis on the KJH right before a major tourney and the Krooklyn...

Status updates for Der_Echte

There is a poster who make an attempt to discuss how the fingers are used to stabilize and provide force. http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=79865&PN=1#990620 I think he brought up some good items worth investigating. Another aspect to discuss would be how they are used in...

Der_Echte has been up to trouble making ways in California... Friday, went to Russian/Romanian TT group at a church and as a surprise, brought my barista equipment to make a fresh Cappucino for everyone. Since my espresso brew unit is 35kg, I was reluctant to take it out of the car and bring...

Posted this vid in another place in the past, but in light of recent developments, this vid deserves its own thread and discussion.

I talked to a 2000+ level LP player who knows Next Level from a few yrs back. He might show up and make a few posts before posting a vid. He really wants to work on his FH, both his opening, and his countering. He was talking to Allen Lin, a player/coach, heard a lot of great nuggets. I came in...

Kim Jung Hoon made himself a club south of Seoul and has a lot of new instructional vids that have a LOT of REALLY GOOD STUFF for us amatures to learn from... just like his tak9.com vids. I select one of them with a lot of nuggets -the FH stroke. KJH is simply talking about very basic...

Nexy Korea sent me RUBICON blade with my some time today. Nexy wrote a long article which I will add later. It is billed as a new poly ball Era blade with arc and control with speed. That kinda sounds like the Kim Jung Hoon that I use. Short of it is... this blade lives up to the billing. I...

Looks like Der_Echte has a chance to pop into NYC this weekend Sat PM. 9PM approx. Of course that means the Goon Squad, ahem, Der_Echte, Carl any anyone Carl can ensnare into some TT action at Flushing Korean Club or NYISC is gunna happen. Venue will be which ever one stays open to midnight or...

Received a sheet of the final Prototype of made in Japan Nexy Karis rubber. Slapped it on the all-wood ALL-ALL+ Nexy Lissom and did league. This rubber will be on market in 2 months. Nexy is the brand of our Korea Foreign TTA sponsor in Korea. I happen to be the Janitor and fall guy for...

This weekend, TTD Memebr Nuke Skywalker played a few levels above his level and got medals in several events in the Virginia State Championships. I was sad to be the gent who stopped his great progress in the Semis of the U2000, but nonetheless, he played way above his level more than once...

Like the title sez... OX LPs can do you some good stuff to setup a big FH. Coach Yoo from Yong-In TTC is one of the Korean expert OX LP coaches and he is a certified bad-azz with an OX LP combo bat in hiz pawz...

Anyone who has seen my play a year ago would conclude that Der_Echte REALLY liked opening up real heavy on BH then playing out the point. (if opponent could handle the surprise spin) I have only become recently aware, that when anyone gives me an underspin, my immediate reaction to it is to...

Hey everyone, I totally agree with the title of this thread. Why? NL is misleading you all in hiz vids. You have all seen NL make a thread or three documenting his improvement in certain things, and he makes a ton of video with what he is working on... in these vids none of the stuff he is...

Hey everyone, BricePhan visited me at the MDTTC April 2016 Tourney today... and the bearded friend of mine whom I hope will join TTD and teach us a thing or three competed in my U2000 division. We both won our groups, advanced, but unfortunately had to play each other in the first game of single...

Will HE be the next TTD member? He reads TTD, maybe he sees this and will teach us all some TT. If anything, he can catch Goon Squad members three at a time bare-handed without a trap door setup. He is right at my playing level and I BARELY get by him in a match, like by the thinnest of a...

I got a kinda nice large box from Nexy Korea today. THREE days is all it took from order confirmation to receiving it in Washington DC from Seoul. maybe it is because there re nonstop flights to Dulles, and I live 4 km from that airport. Got a replacement blade for my Kim Jung Hoon and a Kanaph...

I make this thread as I think about my response to a question of how to go about showing someone how to make an effective BH flip of a short serve. The conversation evolved and I asked the question is there ONE correct way to show this stroke, or is there many ways and a "Path" to get to the...

I cant remember if I posted a few pics of Team India for last year's S.O. World Games. There are lots of TTD members from India and many who watch the forum and have not registered to be members, yet watch the forums closely. Here they is.
