The thirteenth round of the Chinese Super League took off to an amazing start on the 27[SUP]th[/SUP] July 2011 with some very interesting matches and results. Read on to find out who won against the big super power houses of Zhejiang and Shandong.

Shandong 3-1 Zhejiang (Match of the night - Timo Boll vs Zhang Jike)
The opening match was spectacular with both players not from China. Zhjiang’s foreign aid of Timo Boll came up against Joo Se Hyuk. Both players were focuses and determined to get their representive a point. The match went to the fifth set with Joo just edging to victory. Joo beat Timo Boll 3-2.
In the second match Zhang Jike beat Ma Lin in five sets and redeemed himself from the previous round in the Chinese Super League.
Shandong were now in a 2-0 lead.
In the third match Zhejiang managed to get a point back for the team as both Ma Lin and Hao Shuai defeated the doubles pairing of Zhang Chao and Fang Bo.
In the fourth match of the night it was Timo Boll to redeem himself after losing to Joo Se Hyuk in the opening match. Boll faced Zhang Jike the WTTC 2011 champion. Zhang Jike was on fire and defeated Boll by 3 games to 1 securing Shandong’s victory and putting them into the top spot of the league.
This win for Shandong put them into the top spot of the league. This loss for Zhejiang put them tied with Bayi in joint second on the leadership board.
Ningbo 2-3 Bayi (Match of the night – Ma Long vs Yan An)
Bayi’s superstar player Wang Hao was out of action due to a foot injury. Li Muqiao replaced him and faced Ma Long in his opening match up. Ma Long didn’t take no prisoners and won in 3 straight sets.
In the second match Bayi’s Yan An defeated Wang Jianjun in four sets with scores 11-6, 9-11, 11-9 and 11-7. The match score was now at 1-1.
In the third match as always the doubles match saw Li Muqiao and Zhou Yu defeat Wang Jianjun and Wu Hao.
Yan An now faced Ma Long and put up an incredible performance. The match went to five sets with Ma Long edging the final points to level the match score for Ningbo.
In the last match of the night saw Bayi’s Zhou Yu defeat Wu Huo in four sets.
This is Bayi’s tenth win of the season and for Ningbo it’s their eighth loss of the season.
Jiangsu 3-1 Sichuan (Match of the night – Chen Qi vs Xu Ruifeng)
In the opening match of the night Qiu Yike of Sichuan faced Lei Zhenhua. Qiu fought his hardest but Lei exposed Qiu’s poor performance and defeated him by 3 games to 1.
There was a surprising defeat in the second match as Chinese National team member Chen Qi lost to Xu Ruifeng in four sets.
In the doubles match, Jiangsu’s Jin Yixiong and Lin Chen crushed Zhang Yu and Xu Ruifeng to give Jiangsu a lead of 2-1.
In the fourth match of the night Chen Qi of Jiangsu overcome Qiu Yike in four games. Both players did not have a good match in their previous match, but this match was a spectacular and both players can go away happy with their performances.
Chen Qi’s win gave Jiangsu their first win of the season. However, for Sichuan this is their tenth loss in the Chinese super league 2011.
Bazhou 3-1 Jinzhou (Match of the night – Xu Xin vs Wang Liqin)
The first match of the night was spectacular with Jinzhou’s Wang Liqin and Cui Qinglei going to the full five games. Wang Liqin just won the fifth set by 12-10 and scored the first point for Bazhou.
The mighty Xu Xin stepped into the arena for Bazhou in the second match. Xu defeated Shang Kun in four sets with scores 11-6, 8-11, 11-9 and 11-4.
Zhai Chao and Cheng Jingqi both defeated Shang Kun and Zhai Yiming in the doubles match of the night.
The fourth match of the night was between the two giants of the table tennis world. “Xu Xin and Wang Liqin”. However on this occasion Xu Xin destroyed Wang Liqin in three straight sets with scores 11-7, 12-10 and 11-4.
This is Bazhou’s ninth victory in the league whilst its Jinzhou’s tenth loss in the tournament.
