So!
Germany beat Greece, what was expected..
Portugal beat Hungary, that was also expected.. (at least by me)
Austria beat Croatia. . that was expected, but I thought Primorac will beat Gardoš .. and also I didnt expect Habesohn to give that hard time to Tan Ruiwu who had to face few matchballs
And.. surprise surprise - Russia is out!
Russia is out after for me shocking defeat by Pär Gerell, who beat Alexei Smirnov.. and then at 2:2 he beat Šibaev..
Well well!
Who will it be tomorrow?
Germany vs. Portugal will be very interesting .. Apolonia already beat Timo in some Pro Tour final, cant remember now which one..
And Monteiro and Freitas are also in a great form!
And Austria vs. great Sweeden!
Another veteran fight after todays Schlager vs. Primorac (where Primorac came back from 10:7 down to win 18:16) .. tomorrow it will be Schlager vs. Persson!!

Anyways, I still expect Germany to go to finals and then, well.. Schlager will probably beat Persson.. but not sure about great playing Gerell..
I think Sweeden might win.. closely, but they should.. We will see!

I think Germany will win 3:1 against Portugal or even 3:0.. There's a chance for portugal to win the 3-3 match (will be interesting to see who plays on this position for both teams) but Timo and Dima are too good for Apolonia and Freitas atm even though Timo is far from his best

But Austria against Sweden could be a great fight, i guess it ends 3:2 for one of these two but its 50/50 which team it will be. Gerell seems to be in good shape and Persson is always dangerous but same for Schlager and Gardos. Perhaps it will be crucial which lineup both teams choose, 3-3 is so important in this match!

Very true, Austria and Sweden is going to be the one to watch out for I cant wait! .. 3-3 is vital!

Biiig big disappointment for me!
Greece LOST to Hungary 3:1! In the fight for 5-8 positions..
After Gionis beat Jakab (he was 2:1 down and won next 2 games 13:11 !!!),
Kalinikos Kreanga didnt fill up the expectations and LOST to Daniel Kosiba and in the fourth also lost to Jakab..
Both matches 3:2, but anyways, man, where is the old great Kreanga gone?! WTF!

What a win from Jorgen Persson! Amazing match and I have to say that is a very impressive performance from the Swedish Team!

For me man of the match was Par Gerell. I am really impressed he beat Werner Schlager. There was a fair bit of pressure on that game to!

Nice suprise, Sweden being in the final . I wonder if Portugal can pull off another suprise. And can I just say I like the coverage on laola1 It seems like until today they didn't really give coverage but just put up a camera so that at least people can watch. But now there's many replays from different angles, commentary and good quality. I like it!

I dont really understand the german lineup.. Ok Steger can win against Apolonia but it will be a hard fight.. Timo should win against Monteiro but Freitas vs. Baum is clearly in favor of Freitas, Baum is far away from his shape at last years European Championship. So it could be 2:1 for Portugal, then Timo ties it to 2:2 but Steger vs. Monteiro is again 50/50... I would have put Ovtcharov on 2 or 3 so let's hope it doesn't go wrong for germany
