Hi all

I’m just preparing a couple of new sheets of rubber to glue and was surprised by the weights.

H3N Pro BS 2.15/40 : uncut with single thin layer of Seamoon = 63g

H8-80 red 2.1/38 : uncut with single thin layer of Seamoon = 78g

That’s a lot heavier than I expected for the 8-80 and especially as corners cut.

has anybody else weighed this rubber?

thx

Peter

I weighed 2 sheets of H8-80 38 red, uncut 70.4 g with 4 corners cut

Dimensions: 170*164
Area = 170*164 - (2*23*23) = 26822 mm²
Area density = 0.260 g/cm²

Thank you - that’s helpful.

I guess my sheet may have absorbed 2-3g of booster but it still seems heavy to me compared to yours.

My red @ 37deg hardness was 62g with foil removed. 78g sounds insane, not much of the rubber is getting cut off, also no corners...
So like this it was 49g cut on a 158x150mm head with minimal overhang. Your 78g rubber will be a heavy bugger, well over 60g I think.

It’s glued on now so I’ll weigh it when cut and report back…

Ok, so it’s 59g cut on a 91g blade so 150g without FH H3 which I think will will be around 45-47g = total of 195-197g which is similar to my current set up at 200g and a weight I like as long as it feels balanced.

Don't forget to add 3-4g of glue depending on how many layers you like to use. So you might be right back at 200g, but if you prefer that weight then it's great.

The 150g weight is glued to the blade so just the H3 to attach and weigh the whole lot. I’ll report back tomorrow..
