Well, firstly, Medium pimple player have different tactics, thus there are many "counter tactics".
With out providing more information, I don't think any one can provide you the right solution.

Most Chinese trained medium pimple player are majority medium pimple on BH, and they styles are BH for Speed and Angle while FH for Spin and Power. They are also mostly close to the table, and BH mostly off the bounce.

Is that similar to what you experienced?

Okay, i'm trying not to be too confusing.
You also get differnt types of long pimple rubbers and styles, so not everything is "opersite".
Also, you get different types of medium pimple rubber, so charateristic from one to another are different.
Also size of sponge also makes a huge different.

Now I have limited English terms to use (compared to Mandarin)
When you say Hit, are you refering to punch or top spin?
Top spin will have gentle top spin, while hit will be more no spin, but with more speed.
Some times the balls may dip earlier, if the contact is more soft.
Also, depending on where the opponent brush the top spin ball, it may be so gentle that it is also considered no spin.

The problem I'm guessing with you is, you are not reading no spin ball.

A skilled MP operator can hit through just about any spin and give you a ball that is medium fast right at your weak zone, usually having light topspin or a dead ball. he kind of spin and speed will fool you every time unless you are accustomed to it. it will look like the ball should arrive at a different time with different arc and spin, but it is what it is and you have to learn how to read these balls.

You can use pure ball read skills which is better. You read sound, arc, bounce and flight after bounce to get your clues. Since not many people face MP operators so much, it can get weird in a hurry. Just play against them as much as you can and learn what ball does what and adjust from there. You will have to read better, anticipate and move/plan better.

When you have trouble reading spin + opponent makes shots with some pace + those shots are to an uncomfortable place, that spells trouble for you.

One way to cope a little better is to slow the game down. If you can play short, do so. If you can pressure your opponent first, that is also a good idea. You have to figure out where your opponent has trouble and that might be easy, or might be a difficult task.
