hi, my name is michel (18). im from switzerland and i love table tennis.

i play tt since may be 7 years. but im not that good :( maybe ive got no talent for table tennis. also, the training method arent that good in my club. our clubtrainer was the champion of kongo :O but a good player doesnt mean a good trainer. all of our juniors in the club said that :S.

now after nearly 8 years, i dont have any ambition for a really good player. hopefully this forum will increase my skills ;D

Hi. I'm Deepak Dudhane

Hi. I'm Deepak Dudhane. I'm from Mumbai city, state of Maharashtra, India.
I'm 58 years old and have been playing for more than 40 years! Love the game and miss it terribly if i don't get to play more than 2 days in a row.:)
I used to be a purely defensive player but i'm starting to learn attack since i started playing competitively around 7 years ago in the veteran circuit. You can actually teach an old dog new tricks!:p
Switched to using combination rackets ever since the game became super-fast with all sorts of advances in rubber speed and speed glues!
Best performances are a few quarter-final appearances in the Indian Veteran Nationals, which is age-group-wise (49-59 is my group).
My State has taken 1-2 in the last two nationals and we had 6 quarter-finalists out of 8 in the last one, which is a record of sorts! ;)
I enjoy watching all the videos you all put up and wish all the best to all of you.

Hey, Deepak, nice to have you here!
You seem to be a really nice guy :)
Yeah I know what you mean since I've been a pure defensive player for over one year when I started playing tabletennis.
But to compete with the best you need a good forehand topspin as well!

You're right David. Without a good forehand attack, you can't beat the better players.
My problem is that, since i flip the racket frequently, i need to be able to attack with long-pimpled too, that too on both fh and bh! That's why i'm looking for a better long-pimpled than Phantom 007. Any suggestions? See my other post on this and reply in that thread. Thanks and pleased to meet you. :)

I play the CurlP1R on my bh, it's decent for attacks.
You either have to practise this shot or need better footwork, I myself try to run around my bh as often as possible to attack!

Hi, I'm Saif from Bangladesh. I mostly play with my friends. I am playing for over 3 years now. Thinking of joining a league or club. I once crowned as champion in our annual TT competition at our varsity. This forum is new and so am I. I saw some familiar names and new ones here. I hope I shall get know every one in time.
