National Trials 2024 - Feng Yi-Hsin vs Liao Cheng-Ting

I'm so happy today, that Feng Yi Hsin made the top 5 in Taiwan.

So number 1 is Lin
number 2 is Chuang
number 3 is Kao
Number 4 is 20 year old Huang Yan-Cheng
Number 5 is 20 year old Feng.
2 years ago, I saw the future 5 as the above.

Feng missed out on the national team for 2023, so it has been a hard year. Also his grandfather (his first TT coach) passed away in Oct, so this year's trials was very important for him.
Yesterday he lost 3-4 to Huang, so Huang got the 4th position
Today, he fought all the way to the finals and beat Liao Cheng-Ting 4-1 to earn the WTTTC birth and a top 5 spot in the team.
Chuang will still play on, with Lin a top 10 and Kao, Huang and Feng all being top 20 material.
It will be a strong line up if all 5 can be in the top 20 by half year mark.
Feng has done very well against European players, Kao still have a lot to learn and Huang needs to convert his ability into wins against foreigners.

Feng is Butterfly sponsored, but uses H3 on FH
his blade is Viscaria , bh rubber, I'm not sure now.
last time I saw it was T05 (this was few years ago)
