SYB really deserves a lot of credit as a great doubles partner. She did her job of putting balls on the table.

But she also maintains a really positive attitude and is always super supportive of LJH despite the fact that he's often missing on over aggressive shots. Never see her look even slightly frustrated at this behavior.

She's in a bit of a slump but it's hard not to be a fan of her demeanor.

Same with CSY and DHK. The female players on a whole have done really well here in Paris.

Hayata: That includes me, right?

True to what WCT/DHK said, the level of competition is higher than that of the last edition. Mizutani/Ito is lucky to have won last time, once in a lifetime.

China has significantly cut back on doubles training since it was replaced by team event at Beijing 2008. Similarly, LGL even said they never trained for XD before it became a new event at Tokyo 2020. At the WTTC 2009, as a gesture and part of the program called 养狼计划 (Wolf-Raising Plan, akin to an exchange program which involves sending out coaches all over the world) by Cai Zhenhua, they even "gave away" the XD by sending the weakest teams and yet still won gold, silver and bronze.

After seeing both Wang Chuqins and Fan Zhendongs haircut.

I can positively say that Fan Zhendong will win the gold medal.

The haircut has always been the deciding factor in recent times, and this time Fan takes it.
Totally agree :D

No matter how this year goes, I think Fan Zhendong will win the gold medal. THAT YEAR THIS YEAR for Fan Zhendong without Ma Long :)

Sha Sha hard carrying, but they're in trouble if they play like that in the final.
Hard carrying??

More like she's fully playing her part this time. In the past, it was just Wang all guns blazing with a very solid supporter.

Xiao Zhang wouldn't say what he said if she was carrying.

It's nowhere near as egregious.
I think people would beg to differ, Felix drops his head close to his paddle on just about every serve, it is hard to tell the difference between when he is hiding and when he is not. Not trying to defend illegal serves in general, but saying that trying to make a particular player the villain and just about any other player not named Truls Moregardh the hero is a lost cause.
