Really late timeout for Diaz. Had three and a half games to do it but chose to take it only at 6-7 down in the decider.

Pyon followed up with a serve onto the edge 6-8.
Gave Diaz a taste of her own backhand punch 6-9.
Weird ball that unexpectedly bounced near the edge 6-10.

Diaz will probably take awhile to recover from that. This was her best chance to reach an Olympic quarters. Pyon continues on her comeback, seed-killing spree. Not the most powerful player but really hard to take down herself.

Rough loss for Diaz against Pyong. She didn't even play bad. This Pyong girl kicked into some crazy next gear where she couldn't miss a shot. That was an amazing peformance by Pyong.
