Nice adjustment by Hayata to mix things up with slow spinny shots when her high power shots werent working.

Now she's more confident hitting full power too. Either the adrenaline or pain killers kicking in. Wonder how long it'll last though.

You back being someone’s dog?

WS Bronze Medal Match
Hayata 4-2 SYB (-9, 11, 10, 7, -10, 7)
G6 74, 75 TO for Hayata (dumb Hayata back and overhit yet again), 85, 86, 96 slight net for Hayata, 97, 117
Smart Hayata prevails.

SYB said she was drained after the 7-gamer with Hirano and it showed here.

Congratulations Hina Hayata!

Man it was looking bad in the first game when she was missing all her shots early. Credit to Hina for gutting through that early uncertainty and find her game again.

Woah she's super emotional right now. Well earned tears here.

SYB will be back for sure next time around and stronger.

What a gutsy performance from Hina! You can see how tightly she was bandaged just above the wrist. To beat a surging SYB like that to win a bronze was a mental battle as well because she obviously could not play her normal game. She had to play with a slower pace and really picking her spots mostly out wide.

Now the big question is would it be better to play Kihara at this point because I don't know how much further her arm is going to last.

It is an important thing all players especially power hungry amateurs need to learn. You can't hit the ball hard all the time and expect to be a good player when your timing is off
