Enjoy it guys. This might be the best crowd for table tennis we see for a few years at least.

Great semifinals and great result for the popularity of table tennis in France. Even if our boy Harimoto had to be sacrificed for it.

From what I was reading yesterday after their loss to Sweden, I didn't even think the Japanese team would show up (figuratively at least). Togami beating Alexis and Shinozuka playing that well against Felix was unexpected and showed their grit.

Awesome table tennis to watch.

China be like, “Am I a joke to you?” in terms of table tennis crowds.

To be honest, I never thought Japan would lose to Sweden and France just from comparing world rankings.
Huh? France is probably the #2 team and is higher seeded in the team WR because of the recent WTTTC silver in Busan and Felix's ranking. Sweden is the outlier but are the European champs and also Karlsson and Truls are severely underrated because of recent subpar performances for different reasons.

I think he meant enthusiastic crowds minus the overly nationalistic flavour. I much prefer this crowd that purely enjoys the sport and roots for the underdog too.

Compared to the crowd we've gotten in Paris, every partisan Chinese crowd I've seen doesn't even come close in terms of energy and atmosphere.

I've only watched some of their Super League and the WTT events in China though. Maybe I'm missing something?

So I didn't think the match would be thia close but it could easily have been 3-1 if France had the ABC order. That said, respect to Togami for reversing what looked like a conclusive win from Alexis a few months ago and actually showing he can adapt if he decides to.

Harimoto has work to do on the path to controlling his fate. He is still too conservative for the top level. You have to put the match on your racket not hope the opponent misses.

The Olympics for MT are effectively over. One boring match left in MT. But no need to read it since we know the ending...

I know what you're doing. Going for the reverse jinx hoping to be wrong lol

I'll join in. It's gonna be an easy 3-0 and I likely won't be tuning in.

You right with Harimoto WHO always start to think he is Waldner. He needs more oxygen and work on body like Kanak did.
Japan needs to suspend him for year.

Haha... nah... I love TT too much not to watch but I respect China too much to even believe they lost a silver medal in MS. France I think would have beaten Sweden. And France got murdered by China.

Annett Kaufmann is the player of the games. 18 years old, WR 100, 5-0 in WT. She dropped two games in beating WRs 247, 27, 25, 22, and 8. Excited to see if she can stay undefeated against Korea tmrw.

Actually I would like to see some changes, WCQ as CNT's new generation of bearer if there is no outstanding performance will not be able to conquer the hearts of the Chinese people, this is the CNT is very reluctant to see, if you do not make good use of this quadrennial finals CNT is very difficult to vindicate him, it is about WCQ's ability to the contests and the evaluation of the domestic. If it's just 3-0 as is, obviously something is missing. emmm, I think Ma long and Fan are fully capable of doubles.
