Harimoto is good in WD/XD, even better than Hayata if you ask me.
Hirano/Harimoto, even though the pair doesn't work, is gonna be the priority pair. Hayata forgoing WD is the signal that she will play 2 singles.
It's been dead clear for several months now, ever since they fielded Harimoto in the WT F against China at Asian Games 2022 that Ito opted out of. Kihara/Harimoto then went on to beat SYS/WMY in the WD QF as well on their first try that Ito/Hayata could only fathom after failing for years.
Hayata/Harimoto played once against Bergstrom/Kallberg at XTWC 2023, which worked pretty well, but highly unlikely to happen at Paris 2024 unless an emergency situation arises.
I don’t remember these 2 ever played together in doubles in tournaments.Hayata-Harimoto?

Well, onus of proof is on those that say there's something happeningWould you really look at screenshot to get a feel for a match audience? Asking for a friend....
G4 opening, Dumb Hayata; middlegame, Smart Hayata; endgame, Great Wall of ChinaDid they forget what won them the 3rd game? Back to backhand plays and slow reactions from Hayata.
Or at least some more elaborate evidence instead of "I watched every Olympic since Deng Yaping and I never saw this."Well, onus of proof is on those that say there's something happening
