Do you have a habit of dropping back and playing a bit passive? I know I certainly do!

agreed, the main thing from this clip is getting too far back.
The stroke at 0:07 has some spin, the rest are just hit & block. If you play against someone with good attack, you will have a hard time.

The problem with a 7 second snap shot, is you don't get any sort of idea.

You could be playing as well as you've ever played for 7 seconds...... Or you could be having a nightmare.

If I saw someone play like you, I'd assume they were much better than the opposition, and you were just keeping the ball in play by dropping back and letting them attack - Especially as you look relatively comfortable on both wings.

When you did your follow up after you flicked your right foot should be a little more backward than your left foot to enable you to properly twist your torso.
You need better footwork.

Grab a tripod or some sort of stand. Put it angled behind you on your open FH side. Record a full match.

Was a nice point. But it's 7 seconds long. Hard to take away much from that.

It's hard to tell from this angle but it doesn't look like you are keeping a neutral position for your wrist. It seems more open, which might suggest you still seem to want safety in your strokes. You can get much more spin at a neutral position, at the risk of missing the ball for a little bit while you adjust.

I know your dream is to get to the top 16 U18. Take a look at Kanak Jha from US and do a self-evaluation. This kid is close to 18 and currently ranks #11 (new ranking?) U18 in the world. BTW, I lost to him when he was ahh... around 11 IIRC.

Record a whole match or at least an entire game, then we can give you some pointers. 13 second video doesn't tell us much.
