Great match there, there are so many great classic games. The old european champs finals and olympics with Waldner, Persson, Primorac, Saive, Gatien etc just have so much to offer in terms of viewing. They used to make compilations I have a couple of old ones, I don't know if they still do those?

Great use of short backhand topspin throughout to start the offensive

And on a related note, I spent about 5 mins pasting the youtube embed code which failed miserably. I gave up and decided to simply paste the youtube link and voila it works!

This is mine! Cheung Yuk vs Jang Song Man Asian Quals. I love the intensity and the long rallies and the mix of defensive and offensive play from Jang Song Man. Awesome!

I've just noticed this day that Jang Song Man is a short pips defender! Thats rare mate :D

Brilliant ain't it :) I had a short stint using short pips on my backhand for chopping I always felt like I had more consistency than with long

I used a sheet of 729 short pips that was custom glued to a sheet of 1mm sponge it has a very hard contact but I could chop all day with it :p

For me there are so many amazing matches out there, what makes the difference to me is how they are filmed. This one person on youtube whose account name is tabletennisphotos, has tons of videos from the world championships, world cup, qatar open that are filmed at an amazing angle that you just don't find anywhere else. I would say his videos are my favorite, because they give you a view into how pros play much better than the typical angle of most table tennis matches

This is my favorite match: 2003 China Open, Kong Linghui vs Joo Se Hyuk. It goes seven games. The last 3 games are super close, several games go to deuce. There are a lot of long tough rallies. And it is a classic matchup of a great defensive player who can attack against a great offensive player who can defend.

THAT'S IT, MAN!
Just awesome

That is one of my favourite matches too, definitely my favourite match of Joo, even better than the 2003 WTTC final almost I believe and of course it's always great to watch Kong Linghui work his magic!

Well I am not going to say, that this is a greatest video, but what I can say, it was one of the greatest matches ever!
I saw it live when it happened, I recorded most of it on my VHS recorder, so when I will get a TV card, I will try to put it online..
This and the next match, the 1999 European Champions League finals between Ma Lin and Koji Matsu****a were best at all!
This is just a short cut of what Koji was able to do.. :)
