The prestigious World Tour Grand Finals sponsored by Seamaster begins on the 14th December and concludes on the 17th December. The Grand Finals is held in city of Astana, Kazakhstan with a total prize money of $1,000,000. As the year comes to a close we get to look forward to the worlds best players battle it out $100,000 in the men's and women's singles!

Theres a lot on stake this week, if Dimitrij Ovtcharov wins one match at the Grand Finals he will become the new world number 1!

Here we go TT World, what a week we have in store! The recent world events have seen some epic battles with Dimitrij recently defeating Fan Zhendong and Timo Boll taking out China's Ma Long. Last years winner Ma Long will not be participating in this years World Tour Grand Finals,it's all to play for! Dima only needs to win one match and then he will go into January 2018 as the new World Number 1! Will anyone stop him, Fan Zhendong will be looking to seek revenge. Of course Timo is in fine form at the moment winning the recent T2 Grand Finals defeating Dima 3-1.

In the womens event Chen Meng leads the seedings. Will Chen go all the way? Chen Xingtong is in superb form right now having won the recent Swedish Open, a lot of players to look out for.

Perhaps Timo can win. One can only hope I think Xu Xin actually has a pretty good chance if his RPB is as good or better than it was during the Swedish Open.

I must say, this pool of players is exciting. No guaranteed outcome on who's gonna get the title. My best two bets are already facing on the first round, Dima and Koki.

Nowadays TT is great because you never know who is going to win. I think Boll have quite easy road to semis and Lin too. Month ago I would say the same about Fan but he lost to XX who he beat easily many Times in the past.
Anyway if Timo faces Fan it will be really hard for him since Fan is very powerfull player and faster then Ovtcharov on his feet.
I still hope for Niwa-Boll final .

This Grand final is a total mystery. If Niwa is on fire and Dima not that much, then the german star might fall. LGY might even win the event, but he might lose in the first round, he isn't as consistent as FZD or XX or even Timo. XX seems to be in a good shape, but he might be the easiest to beat from CNT for foreigners. FZD is the favourite but Dima, XX, Timo, LGY both has a chance to beat him.

Anyways, I could not be more happy about the men singles draw!!!
Fang Bo vs. Lin Gaoyuan as well as Fan Zhendong vs. Xu Xin early in the draw!
Possible Timo vs Fan and Dima vs. Lin, this is incredible!
I also love Kirill vs. Tomo, yes!
