i forgot to weigh the rubber but it really did balance out my stiga mantra pro h's 50g cut
so i would roughly estimate 52-54g cut bc it feels slightly heavier than the mantra pro
40 degrees bc 41 is out of stock
41 deg of the non pro Powerplay was at 73g with foil, so about 71g without foil. Cut to the Inspira Plus blade which is a slightly larger head viscaria with 4 layers of glue and 2 layer of booster it's 56-7g? So without the glue around 54g, without booster maybe 52g. These are approx numbers.
Anyway I am 100% sure the Powerplay-X and the Volant-Phoenix are both made by Double Fish, they 100% have the same sponge. Identical color, thickness, smell is the sameish. Other giveavay is the packaging foil. Volant-Phoenix and the Powerplay have the same packaging foil, even the breathing hole is in the same location...
That being said the topsheets are very different. The Powerplay seems to have a thicker topsheet since the pips under it are not visible, while on the VP they are visible. The VP topsheet feels harder, it doesn't eat the ball as well and seems not so elastic. The Powerplay is more supple and stretches more and I think it makes more spin.
VP might have an edge in speed over the Powerplay.
VP also has an edge in weight over the Powerplay, the VP uncut is about 66-67g, so about 10% lighter and I'm sure that comes from the topsheet since I measured 41vs41 degree of both.
With a light BH rubber I think probably the Powerplay is a better choice. If one has a 90g blade, 50g BH rubber and 55g Powerplay and 3-4g glue one is kissing the 200g. I have a 89g Inspira plus, 45-6g Glayzer and this 56-57g Powerplay and I'm at 192g which for me is still acceptable but it's thanks to that I got a lighter Inspira plus since my original one is 91-92g, and Glayzer is 45gish.
Excellent performance from the rubber but heavy.
