Zhang Jike - Player of the year 2011

One of the most leading table tennis magazines in the World known as 'Table Tennis World' nominated Zhang Jike as the player of the year in 2011. Former president of the International Table Tennis Federation Xu Yinsheng awarded this noble prize to Zhang Jike.

Many votes were put forward and Zhang Jike narrowly topped the other Worlds best to become the Player of the Year by the leading table tennis magazine Table Tennis World. World Champion and World Cup Champion Zhang Jike won more votes then China's Ding Ning who also became World Champion and World Cup Champion of 2011. Zhang also outvoted his compatriot and rival Ma Long.

Who do you think will be player of the year in 2012? Xu Xin? Ma Long? Ding Ning or will Zhang Jike claim this prize for the second year running?

2012 is going to be one of the best years in recent times for table tennis as we have the new World Tour which begins in 2 weeks time! The table tennis World will reach its most climatic event as the 2012 Olympics takes place.
