When the referee ask me to replay a point, because I've crushed the ball, I always use my middle fingers to assist the blade crushing the next balls, ubtill the referee agrees to use my /or some others/ Xiom, Tibhar or Xushaofa seemless. No more cushing, no more fingers.

So after puttiing some thought into this, I have a basic question , the only time I move my fingers are after completing a serve. I have noticed that I do have different grips for different serves, again this has happened organically with time , I just hope my opponent does not pick it up. Having said that the way I hold the handle is entirely between my fingers that is pinching with forefinger and thumb , so essentially I don't have too much leverage to move fingers around. I am thinking of holding the paddle a little lighter and observing whether my fingers start moving around organically over time. Just can't imagine consciously moving the fingers at this time ... yes, I do shift the grip a little bit between forehand and backhand but normally it happens without paying attention .... the only time I notice is if I keep doing a backhand drill and the ball comes unexpectedly to the forehand side because of a missed block ...

From my perspective, part of what I was showing with those two videos where I moved my hand and wrist position and the fingers moved is that shifts in grip happen naturally. You can't really keep the same hand and finger positions with some of the changes in wrist and forearm position that you need to do to change FH to BH of BH to FH.

The shifts in position should happen without your conscious awareness.

The 5:47 start of coach's warning to not use finger in middle center of bat is one of the sins i do that would drive a coach bananas.

I have different grips for different shots and a way to naturally return to base grip without thinking.

My grip mod for fh that gets me 20% more spin is to relax the wrist, on backswing, my extreme shallow grip turms to a deep grip. I allow to handle to drop to the end. I can feel the end stopping on the meat part of my bottom wrist. This gves me a bigger lever. The finger in the middle gives me max ability to accelerate the bat.

I get way more spin than others. On the reset, right at the end, i loosen the wrist and stop the rest... The bat falls back to shallow grip and i am back in base grip.

My problem with grips is i am too far forward preparing and will commit to a fh or bh shot. I could get caught in wrong position doing this. Vs the opponents who catch me, i tend to change style to close to table counter style with same grip.

Mainsream coaches feel t is too kuch to think about to get grip back to base... I disagree if you can do it intuitively without thought. If one has to think, then that is bad, it will slow you down. In that case i agree.

In any situation, many players are either too tight in grip, arm, or try to use elephant muscles in back of shoulder to macho man power the ball. All that does is get in the way of the whip motion and saps power and disrupts timing of explosion.

It is impossible to hit at 70-80% power that way and be consistent spinny powerful.

So it is better to explode with loose series of leg hip abs shoulder upper arm lower arm wrist and fingers.

Grip and finger changes during blocking give all sorts of different balls. Better to learn soft grip soft hand off the bounce blocking and get more aggressive from there.

Many players want a fast bock. It can be done off the bounce with a tiny firming of grip at impact and a tiny forward bat.

Many players are a step away from table and want a fast block. They try to flail at the ball with a long arm motion that in most cases fail.

It is so much more simple easy effective to move arm or step to postion, make next to ZERO stroke, and at impact really firm up the grip vs a spinny fast incoming topspin. The result is a very fast return without a swing. This is important as a soft block from that distance will allow opponent to real all his or her texts on mobile and make a post or two on TTD before the have to make a shot.

Also, this kind of block is sudden and troublesome. The opponent is looking for a swing or a big swing, but there isn't one, yet the ball is suddenly coming back fast.

That wins points or gets an error on gorilla attack error or a weak return.

Looking at Chetchetinine photos and videos gave me insight on how to make perfect grip for chopping, and,

Fingery grip greatest asset is in absorbing incoming ball speed when chopping. [emoji6]

No one really knows what fingers they apply to what strokes when. They have a general idea which they think is true based on what they have tried in the past and if you experiment and something works for you, just keep doing it. The only thing I would generally recommend is to try to consistently keep as many fingers on the racket as possible and to make sure you can still get whip regardless of your grip. Whip and ball quality tends to solve most questions about grip and grip pressure.
