Felix forehand is weaker than his backhand. I think with RPB where now the penhold blade has two rubbers, it just becomes heavy. And that negate some of the strong suit of the penhold forehand. Yet Felix backhand is just very strong. In addition, with RPB, you naturally put side spin on top of the top spin so it is even harder for the opponent to get used to that (since not too many people play with penhold nowadays).
If Felix had a huge powerful FH stroke he wouldn't be as fast as he is now... There are advantages and disadvantages to everything. Small stroke has advantages of being more controllable and easier connections with the next shot.

Exactly. Look at Dimi vs Felix. Each shot from Dimi is heavy, fast and spinny. But Felix recover and hit each shot at a higher pace.

If Felix gains muscle and improves the quality of each shot, his pace will go down.

The best example is Harimoto now vs 5 years ago.

I feel like Harimoto is not "slow", but he just seems slightly less fluid than he was vs 5 years ago.

He put on the muscle to try to improve his shot quality, but that's still the weakness of his game.

Wang Yidi is having a hard time with Japanese players now
Stats-wise, WYD has lost the most to Japanese players. WYD lost only to combination players in the Tokyo cycle. In the Paris cycle, Hirano happened to be the first double-inverted player on the JNT to beat her.

2-4 Ishigaki, German Open 2016
2-4 Sato, German Open 2017
1-4 Hashimoto, Austrian Open 2018
3-4 Ito, China Open 2019
1-4 Sato, T2 Diamond Singapore 2019
3-4 Ito, ITTF Finals 2020
2-3 Hirano, Singapore Smash 2023
3-4 Hayata, WTTC 2023
3-4 Hayata, Asian Games 2022
0-3 Kihara, WTT SCT Lanzhou 2023

No way... FZD BH is way, way better than LSD. LSD relies too much on pure speed while FZD BH has everything - speed, power, spin, placement, control, safety, rhythm variations.

Imo LSD has a lot of room to cover before he reaches FZD levels of greatness. But he is well on his way for sure.

FZD tbh just needs more trickiness in his games to allow for more breathing room when he is not at peak form. WCQ is super tricky but sometimes I feel he is less solid than FZD or even LJK in the rallies.

But in terms of BH, FZD is unrivalled. Only a prime form ZJK would match his skills BH to BH imo.
I agree
LSD still has a long way to go on bh, he has a flashy "bat the ball away" shot alright, but apart from that in terms of rhythm and everything you mentioned, he's worse.

He also doesn't turn the corner much. And very error prone on defense too, a bit quite like FZD.

WCQ 3-2 over ZQH
What a cool match to watch.

And the best part 11-0 in the last set for Wang Chuqin.

He was up 10-3 in the second set and only won in 12-10 after a timeout at 10-9.
Zhou played well but Wang Chuqin was clearly better imo.
Zhou Qihao's style is entertaining. But he can perform 110% in a set and 60% in the next set. Very disappointed

Harimoto... does his backhand suck now lol?
Oh, hard to rationalize away this one 😭😅, that end was horrible, logrange wasn't wrong at all in his assessment of the match Vs the Koreans. I think the pressure probably got to Hari's head too but c'mon.
Hayata be like: " When do you start to lead this group" 😟
