What's the issue? Although he does look like he's dropped a bit since last time i saw him play.

Lots of muscles are no good for table tennis.
If you say so. The truth is that strength (not necessarily hypertrophy) helps in table tennis, no one knows the right balance of muscle and flexibility requiried, and whether Kanak is above or below the right amount is purely hypothetical in the absence of research that gives a certain result.

Felix Lebrun vs Ovtcharov

I am excited for this match.

As I said before, I believe in Ovtcharov.

What are your thoughts?
The problem for Dima is that he won bronze in 2012 and 2020 and nothing in 2008 and 2016. So the pattern tells you he is not due this year...

Dima always tights though and that is what I respect him for.

Interesting time for referees to fault services - suspect the angle was more than 30 degrees but Szocs's serves were at least visible from toss to contact i.e. 'clean' compared to some others... Not her fan but gotta feel for her, to lose points like that when trailing. But wake up Szocs - you are the secret weapon against another potential Chinese upset!

fun fact about Dima. He has they best draws possible at the olympics. He wasnt scheduled against an chinese player before the Semifinal at all and was only seeded in the top 4 one time.

Kinda legacy defining

But as @zeio and myself have pointed out, this has been an issue for a long time, it is a bit surprising as you said for it to get called out at this match only, but her tomahawk has a low backward toss that has made it dubious forever.

When you play a chopper, it is standard to move around the table with only forehand. You know this right? And it is completely normal for a match be 3-0 or 3-1 and any combination of factors changes the match trend. And the winner wins for.a reason as does the loser, did Gionis win a medal when he was younger? Kanak had beaten defenders like Ruwen Filus at majors before so why not Gionis?

I still don't understand why people have to say things about North American players (Jha, Diaz) that they would never say about equally good players from other continents.
Table tennis has no nationality, except you are diamond from China. This is easy sport right now but before plastic balls it was too hard to master for different countries. And all masters were born from China, Japan, Korea, Europe aka Sweden, Germany and they all keep tradition and hide the secret juice from world. These days show us we all have opportunity to compete it doesnt matter where you came from because Kanak, Aruna, Iba, Diaz, Bruna, Lily, Omar, Hugo and my G from republic of Congo can be a problem for anybody
